Is There A "Find My Messiah" Like "Find My iPhone"?
From The Hill's Peter Sullivan:
Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) calls in an interview for converting as many people as possible to Christianity because Jesus is "coming soon."
How does she know?
On a side note, coming from the Detroit suburbs, I found it hilarious that there are so many people out here in California named "Jesus." (Though, to be fair, it's pronounced "hay-zeus.") For a while, I saw Jesus often -- every time my fucking pink Rambler broke down.

"Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) calls in an interview for converting as many people as possible to Christianity..."
So what? As long as she's not advocating using the police, guns, courts and jails of the government to do it.

Former for a reason.

Everyone know the rapture happened back in 1000 AD. Just as it was originally scheduled. ;)

Gosh I hope she weighs in on the Starbucks anti-Christmas campaign!
Former pastor tricks Starbucks into putting 'Merry Christmas' on his cup, pats himself on back for his bold pro-Jesus action.

I knew plenty of men with that name too - in Spain.
Does anyone know why it's socially acceptable for Latinos to be named Jesus but not non-Latino Catholic boys born in the U.S.?

I'm guessing it's just a weird historic quirk Lenona but I don't really know. Some priest hundreds of years ago made a stink in northern Europe kind of thing. After all it's still popular to name your kids after the apostles, saints, or random virtues. I've never heard of a prohibition on naming your child Jesus.

He's panting quickly and making those thrust motions with his pelvis. You know, the usual way to know.

MarkD writes of Bachmann, "Former for a reason."
As a resident of her district, I can tell you that she's former because she chose not to run. Had she run, she almost certainly would have been reelected, again. She's widely recognized as something of a nut or eccentric, but she votes and talks in line with the preferences of many in this district If the alternative is a classic Minnesota semi-populist far-left activist type, as it has been for a number of her races, even people who don't much like her would vote for her as the lesser of two evils.
