Majoring In Being "Oppressed"
Newsflash to whinging college students: If you're in college at all, you're "privileged," more than any other people at any time in history
Bizarrely, college has become a place, not of intellectual inquiry and debate, but to make demands that one's "oppression" be recognized.

I would say it'll be fun to watch this trainwreck come to screeching halt when these fine people get smacked up aside the head with a clueX4.
This will not end well. And there's going to be plenty of pain to go around.

"There's always going to be like a 1% in the US" says an organizer of the Million Student march.

"Bizarrely, college has become a place, not of intellectual inquiry and debate, but to make demands that one's "oppression" be recognized."
Once admission standards disappeared, and academic standards for any kind of soft degree followed it, it had to be replaced by something......
On could argue that the same thing happened in the 60's when socialist college professors, and administrators admitted, and keep large numbers of unqualified students in order to save them from the draft, and used the returning veterans to suck money out of the feds through the GI bill.

I'm not feeling so optimistic that these pampered, effeminate weaklings will be given a much-needed wake-up call. They will enter society expecting to be coddled just as they have been all their lives, and start pushing for laws to make it so.

"If you're in college at all, you're "privileged," more than any other people at any time in history."
Exactly. And that is one lesson that many of them are missing.
And that tweet:
"Together, we brought down a president of a university. This is power."
Yep, it is power. Too bad they don't use that power for something constructive rather than destructive. But, at least they are being honest in clearly stating that it is about power and not about making things better.

There is plenty of room in my trash can for their resumes. Life is harder if you're stupid.

Then they grow up to write op-ed pieces on how Asian men need to date black women. "Blasian", as it were.
Makes me wonder if any of these idiots have ever been outside of the USA.

As long as that kind of behavior gets rewarded, we're likely to see more of it. As MarkD suggested above, their antics are a good way of identifying people you'd actually want to hire, though I suspect only a few would want to enter the for-profit world, anyway.
Another thought occurred to me: How many of the students really believe what they're saying, and how many are cynically donning the attitude for personal advantage?

More on the Neil Cavuto interview with the organizer of the Milion Student March demanding "free" college educations for all.
http://www.youngcons.com/neil-cavuto-gets-into-nine-minute-interview-with-student-wanting-free-college-and-its-really-painful/
So, instead of having facts at her disposal to dispute Cavuto's position, she simply chooses to disbelieve inconvenient arguments against her chosen "facts."
Tax the rich to pay for everything. What could go wrong?

Since the US growth industry of the future is govt bureaucracy, it seems like a wise business decision to provide individuals with the necessary skills.

More than a few, I would think. That is my backup plan in the event things really go PC Principal.
I may look like the average white male, but I truly feel like a transgendered woman of color. Go ahead, make a crack about that you oppressor! racist! transphobe! misogynist!

I'm poaching this comment from another site, but it seems appropriate:

What I want to know is, how many of them are white compared to the rest of the campus?
It was suggested on the radio that right now, at least, the campus protests are a spillover from Black Lives Matter.
lenona at November 13, 2015 1:48 PM
IRA Darth Aggie @ 1:44; that is exactly right - they are spoiled in their real security.
Especially given the attacks that just happened in Paris. (and previous attacks in Mumbai, Charlie Hebdo, Madrid, London, and, of course, 9-11)
Now, That is real oppression and hate.
These "protestors" don't know real oppression and hate. They are spoil in that their lives don't have to deal with the real world.
Others are handling that for them.
