The first two complainants in the Ghomeshi sex assault trial were destroyed on the witness stand, and now the third and final complainant has collapsed amid suggestions of possible perjury, conspiracy, and an intent to profiteer by means of a subsequent civil suit.
Funny, until someone has a hand or foot bitten off. Next time, throw a goose!

Not a link, but some trivia. The other day I got to thinking about when was the last Presidential election where neither the incumbent President nor the incumbent Vice President was running. I couldn't think of one in my lifetime, so I did some research. Turns out it was 1932, the year that Herbert Hoover was (unfortunately) elected. The incumbent President, Calvin Coolidge, had already served a term and a half; he was in ill health and was weary of Washington, so he chose not to run. The incumbent Vice President was Charles Dawes, who had publicly feuded with Coolidge, and the GOP leadership had made it clear to him that he would not win the nomination.

Um, CD, FDR got elected in 1932. Perhaps you mean 1928?

Yeah, you're right, 1928. Hoover did in fact seek re-election in 1932.
