Finland's National TV Teaches Women Super Secret Rape-Stopping Hand Motion
Yes, that's right -- stick out your hand in a halt motion.
According to Finnish TV, that's all you need to do to avoid being raped by one of those migrants who are told by imams that women who aren't walking around under tablecloths are "uncovered meat," good for the rapin'.
That worked well for this 14-year-old Finnish girl, raped by two Afghan "asylum seekers."
Here's the bizarre rape-"prevention" video Finland's state TV station came out:
Apparently, there's also a Star Wars version somebody posted to YouTube, but I can't find it. Please post the link if you can find it, and I'll put it up.
Oh, and Mohammed encouraged raping non-Muslim women.
Yes, though I'm an atheist, I see that there's a, you know, wee difference between the Christian prophet I don't believe in and the Muslim one I don't believe in.
Yes, Christians have done horrible things to my peeps, the Jews, throughout history, but at the moment, Christians are about as dangerous to my being gunned down in a Paris cafe as astrology buffs are.

There is a *hand motion* that will stop rape, but it isn't an empty gesture so to speak.
Nothing says *stop* like a hand holding a 1911 with the business end pointed towards the potential assailant.
Europeans in general with a few exceptions have been trained for the last several hundred years to be a bunch of passive sheep. Now they have imported a large pack of wolves.
This will not end well.

Which is why I advise people that if they want to visit Europe in its current grandeur, one should go now while it is still relatively safe to do so.
Once I'm done paying a mortgage, I'll reopen the books on pleasure travel. Hopefully there will be bits of Europe still left when I get to that stage. I'm more interested in the eastern parts, and they seem to have a bit more realistic view of these asylum seekers. I may yet get to do a pub crawl in Prague.
If not, there's always Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The Star Wars version actually makes more sense. A weapon in your hand might actually do some good.
The hand gesture... not so much.
jdgalt at February 4, 2016 9:39 AM
The Star Wars one was good and sadly was more realistic than the original.

I won't even comment on the video. Words fail me.
I heard a story on NPR a few weeks ago about the problems that women had riding late-night busses to and from the 'maquiladora' factories in one Mexican town - problems that went away overnight after a masked woman began boarding busses and summarily executing known assailants with a pistol. A few goblins found dead with a look of amazement on their faces will change the whole dynamic of street violence.
When I win the lottery, I'm going to sink some of the money into a device that will be so cheap that they can be given away. It won't be a firearm in the classic sense, but rather a one-shot discharger that fires a large, heavy projectile at relatively-low velocity. It's carried in the hand and discharged by being pressed against an assailant's body or clothing. It can be plastic or very cheap metal. I figure such a device can be made for 30¢ or less, cheap enough that it can be given away, or sold for pocket change. Think of a one-shot 45 that only works at point-blank range.
Then figure out ways to move a device like this, in bulk, into places where people have been reduced to handbags and assertive gestures as their only means of defence against violent attackers. It would be impossible to police or prevent. Even better if I could clue out how to make such a thing from freely-available materials.

At first I thought this was going to be a self-defense snake-oil video: "Use this super special kick/judo throw/joint lock to take down an attacker! Just watch this video and practice it on your boyfriend a few times, and you'll TOTALLY be able to use it in a life-or-death situation."
At least this video is laughably, obviously useless to most viewers.
sofar at February 4, 2016 12:25 PM
Thanks for posting the video; hopefully Europeans will think it is ridiculous as well and really deal with the situation. I also appreciated that you did not negatively judge all religious people as dangerous. The 20th century had millions killed by Nazi and Communist who despised religion. I venture to say that your sense of justice and desire for evil to be stopped is from an ultimate transcendent truth. Without that it could be said that the worldview and morals of some people(immigrants) are just an evolutionary survival mechanism to expand territory and propigate. As a Christian I do not just believe in a prophet, but in the Truth that started a relationship with your peeps the Jews, and became one of us, the Messiah Jesus Christ. Please keep your options open.

(Personally, I in situations like these, I prefer the subtlety of the force choke accompanied by the deep voiced mockery over the gratuitously ostentatious light saber or force lightning. Less is more.)

"The 20th century had millions killed by Nazi and Communist who despised religion."
I see this frequently, usually offered as a professed distinction between the dictates of the State and that of an organized religion. Such people seek to say that atrocities are excusable by some parties are understandable, that they could never condone such things...
But people just like you have done so, and there is no indication whatsoever that they will not do so again.
Make no mistake: the State, when totalitarian, is a religion. How to tell? Just like a religion, it is not to be questioned. Just like a religion, it demands certain conduct to remain part of the organization and to escape punishment.
Whatever your faith, you should realize that it is your own place in a social order that provides your security. You do not need or want to kill others for a real or perceived slight, and so you do not.
This is the real reason you ignore the commands to savagery contained in your own religious documents.

I am aware that a jihad-driven economic collapse in Europe could be disastrous for our own economy, but after reading this blog post, is it possible for us, just this once, NOT to rescue Europe again?
I mean, if their governments are going to be this silly, why should we rescue them AGAIN?
I prefer to run over muslim pirates in my car.

Totalitarianism is the same as religion? No missionary ever came to my door demanding that I start going to church again or face execution. People who are interested in becoming Catholic go to RCIA classes where they ask questions and then decide what they want to believe. Ever hear of totalitarian leaders apologizing? They don't but quite a few Popes have for sins committed. A quick internet search on the definition of religion yeilded nothing equating it with ideologies that rejected the belief in God, spirituality, transcendence etc. Not all people of faith reguard their religious documents the same way; finding out the differences would be an informed approach.

Because you live somewhere secular where the Church doesn't have totalitarian power.

There are countries where Catholicism is either the state religion or the faith of the largest part of the population that do not persecute or oppress citizens. Usually the prominent churches and artworks are the biggest tourist spots. Africa and Asia have had a rapidly growing
Catholic Church which certainly hasn't been accomplished at gun point.

Christians have done horrible things to my peeps, the Jews, throughout history
Relatively recent history. Jews were persecuted by the goyim long before Christ was a glimmer in His Father's eye. My impression (based on admittedly limited historical knowledge) is that Christians, on the whole, haven't been as bad as many other groups. After all, Christ was a Jew.
(Personal note: my background is similar to Amy's--Jewish ancestry, atheist beliefs.)

Christianity has been a blight on the soul of humanity in a manner only out stripped by ilsam.
The ONLY favorable thing to be said about it is it prevented the spread of islam long enough to allow for the enlightenment, the plauge, and the industrial revolution

Bad things were done throughout history by many groups. Religions are pikers compared to Mongols in their day, Nazis and Communists.

Christianity has never done a damn thing. People who happen to hold Christian/Muslin and atheist beliefs motivated by all the petty things that motivate man were the actors then, and now.

I object to the Mongols being lumped in with the Nazi and Communists.
Mongols didnt give a shit about political ideologies, religion, eugenics, racial purity, or control of peoples day to day lives. They just wanted money. There were several city states that outright surrendered, and were left unmolested.

"Christians have done horrible things to my peeps".
Jesus was indeed a Jew, as well as the 12 Apostles who preached to Jews and Gentiles; all except St John paying the price of martyrdom. Early Christians endured a very long string of persecutions from the Roman rulers, and were eventually expelled by Jewish authorities from the synagogues. Later on in the Middle Ages several Popes issued decrees stating that Jews should not be oppressed, and for them to be free to practice their faith. There were people who of course ignored that, just like many Christians ignore the Church now.
More recently Jews and Christians died in concentration camps, while Pope Pius XII secretly aided Jews. Several books have been written on that, one by a Rabbi called the Myth of Hitler's Pope. We are all sinners, and we know what is evil and injustice based on real eternal truth.
John Rooney at February 12, 2016 7:02 AM
"Christianity has never done a damn thing".
How did the belief in a crucified Jew eventually become the largest faith in the Roman Empire, which had killed it's followers, had numerous religions, and gods? one big factor was charity, helping people regardless of their social status, tribe, religion, etc. Loving others, including enemies was quite different then, as it is now. Hospitals were started by Christian Knights Hospitaller, many of the first scientist were Catholic, and educated in Catholic universities. The concept of Human Rights was non existent in the ancient world and developed in a Christian context.
There are people all over the world that would totally reject such a statement because they were saved from starvation, healed, and educated, by Christians.
