Grievance-Hunting As A Shortcut To Power: "Victims" Of Racial Attack Were Actually The Attackers From a tweet by Sam Bowman:
@s8mbI'll get into that below. But first, the story... Lavita Tuff writes at Blavity:
American universities are experiencing an epidemic of students lying about racial and sexual abuse. What's going on?
On January 30, 2016 three black female students at SUNY Albany, accused a group of 10 -12 white students of yelling racial slurs and physically attacking them after getting into an argument on the number 11 CDTA bus. Asha Burwell, one of the students attacked tweeted about her experience gaining support from the black community on and offline. Her tweet:
@AshaBurwellI sure wouldn't stand for that, and what person with any decency would? Whoopsy...turns out it didn't happen. In fact, it happened kind of the other way around. Tuff continues:
I just got jumped on a bus while people hit us and called us the "n" word and NO ONE helped us.
All three women were treated at a local medical center for scrapes on their faces but no major injuries. As with any attack, University police launched an investigation and after three weeks came back with startling evidence. Police found that the accusations made by the three young ladies stating that they were victimized were false and that the young ladies themselves had assaulted another female passenger on the bus. ... Interviews from 35 passengers on the bus, security camera footage from the bus and four videos taken by passengers on their mobile phones support the charges being brought forth. From the CNN report on this:
After the incident was reported, the hashtag #DefendBlackGirlsUAlbany appeared on social media.Um, defend them from having to earn attention and power in the world instead of scamming their way to it? And please note that my remark just above isn't about black girls in particular but all of the Victim Movement -- those declaring themselves, at a time when we've all never been freer or more privileged, to be deeply, constantly, and consumingly victimized? The unfortunate thing about the Victim Movement is that it drums up divisiveness between people while claiming to be about the seeking of equal treatment. It's the problem dressed up as the solution. via @YeyoZa

Amateurs. They should model themselves after Al and Jessie and only go after those w/money. Kids. They never learn.

And the best part of it is, despite abounding evidence of their egregious actions and lies, they will still be portrayed as victims by the likes of Al and Jessie and the entire Black Lives Matter movement.
Patrick at March 2, 2016 5:51 AM
This was a cover up, Bob.
They were hoping that by being the first to report the crime that their narrative would be believed. Too bad about the cameras, and the witnesses.

I R A, if they were given a polygraph test they would pass. They truly truly believe.

"came back with startling evidence"?
Really, that folks lie about racial attacks is startling?
This is NOT "startling." This kind of lying has been going on for years. Years!
Hit these liars with the book - they are the ones stirring up racial disharmony; so, hit them with "inciting" a riot too.
And, yea, Patrick is right. The like of Al not-too-Sharp-ton and Jessie Hymietown Jackson will call them heroes; so, let them pay for the legal defense of these liars.

Eh white people did to to blacks and now blacks are doing it to white people. No it isnt "right" and its got nothing to do with race. People are just awful when they feel they can paint themselves as a victim.
Anytime I see behavior like this it reminds me of those awful clients that abuse the shit out of you (because they feel they can) and then send you those long ass emails about what an abusive twat you are conveniently forgetting to mention their lack of payment.
ppen at March 2, 2016 7:12 AM
Or, to add to what ppen said, if you've had to deal with a borderline/narcissist in a personal relationship, at some point they've tried to beat the crap out of you while screaming "You made me do this!". To use Dr. T's term, it's pure DARVO (deny, attack, reverse victim and offender), and it's oh-so-typical Cluster B behavior.
Everybody is born xenocentric, and there are evolutionary reasons why. No one is immune from it. Tolerance has to be learned.

Color me shocked. And, if you disagree, it's because you're a racist who's prejudiced against Shocklet-Americans.
Wfjag at March 2, 2016 9:03 AM
They will be called heroes of blm, no one in the movement will watch or believe the evidence. They had 3 witnesses who say X. Just like "hands up don't shoot" goes against the evidence.
Joe j at March 2, 2016 9:04 AM
So they played the race card while in the wrong? Nothing new about that.
Matt at March 2, 2016 11:10 AM
So, the opposite of inequality is more inequality? Well, you can be certain they won't be charged with a hate crime, so there's that.

Fred gets it.

Thanks Radwaste. Refreshing read.

I see this all the time at school. People come in with a chip on his or her shoulder and see everything through a filtered lens. The feel attacked so they "attack back." Of course, an unbiased witness sees the "victim" as the instigator and abuser. That persecuted viewpoint is reinforced when they go crying about mistreatment to momma and she says the treatment is because of injustice rather than a consequence of behavior.
