Cue Tiny Tim's "Livin' In The Sunlight, Lovin' In The Moonlight" song as a theme song for these news.

Re: Catherine Rampell, writer of the piece in the next post, is it at least possible that the reason she's been working in the top tier of media since was 14 years old is that she's fucking stunning? I mean, she's a Yalie or something too, IIRC, but still. (Checked: Princeton.) Shouldn't you have to bring down the Nixon administration or something before being given that kind of mindspace-sinecure?

IJS, it's almost like a Hollywood character actor / starlet thing, where everyone just inexplicably decides 'This is a person we're going to give a bunch of attention to now.' It happens on cable TV news, too. And you gotta wonder Why? What is the masterwork which earned all this attention?

Goggers- We should all agree that The Intercept is a useful and often important internet publisher. But I thought their editorial treatment (at least on Twitter) of the story you link was typical of their leftside-whinybitch presumptions, wherein Big Mean Forces are always terrorizing the defenseless lumpen urchins... Such as the Egyptian student, a guest in the United States.

Those aren't mummified corpses, they're inexpertly taxidermied corpses that were then Put Back On Display. Judging from the number of times the article (and every photo caption) said the Israel conflict caused this, it's clearly some sort of attempt to gain sympathy for them, against Israel, by starving animals instead of transferring them to other, safer zoos, and then blaming Israel for it. How long before the "Palestinians" decide to starve their kids, taxidermy the corpses, then put THEM on display and say it's Israel's fault?

Nope, they won't do that - why waste the money on taxidermy when you can use the starving, yet still alive, kid as a suicide bomber?
After all, suicide bombing PAYS more. Iran is using its new found wealthy (thanks Obama!) to donate about $7,000 to the families of suicide bombers in Palestine.

This NYT op-ed piece by a "comedian" is so unfunny and un-worth reading that it amazes.
