This new generation is so full of shit... they seriously need to take the massive sticks out of their asses.

I call this costume "How to Get Unfriended By an Idiot on Facebook."
Karlie Kloss's gorgeous outfit was cut from the televised Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2012. They did a calendar-girl theme, but there was this awkward cut between October and December.
I was at home repeatedly rewinding, like, where the hell did November go?

From IP's link:
"Jacqueline C. Wachell posted:
As a Native Women [sic], I want to share how disappointed I am in your lack of Cultural respect of traditional sacred items and our women in general. Native women have the highest rate of sexual related murder on the continent. Thank you for further promotion of this violent act against our women!!"
What a tremendous idiot. Hey, Jacqueline? Put on the burqa. It isn't a Victoria's Secret model that produces the villainy you allege - they aren't even watching the show, and they damned sure aren't fantasizing about it.
Why don't these people ever think they're being honored by such exposure? Would they really be OK with some ordinary, nay, hefty model waddling out instead, rather than a rarity like Kloss?
Now you can relax, moron. Since Karlie Kloss wasn't shown on TV wearing a generic headdress - one that isn't even common to all tribes and isn't even a replica of a real one - domestic violence has now been halted!
Radwaste at April 30, 2016 8:47 AM
That headdress on Kloss is fabulous, and I want one in black, with sequins and sparkles.
PS The fact that I do is not an insult, oh, "Native Women." It's the antithesis of an insult.
I also think saris are pretty, but I would look like shit in one, style-wise.

Victim privilege is the best privilege. And cultural appropriation is but the latest weapon in the arsenal of aspiring victims to whip themselves up into a contrived outrage.
Patrick at April 30, 2016 9:44 AM
Sorry for the clumsy HTML.
I am outraged that they used only young, slender, exceptionally attractive women here!

"Cultural appropriation" would be an awesome Halloween costume: Native American headdress, candy skull makeup, Indian tikka, geisha robes, knuckle dusters.
I am a desi-phile who wears a lot of Hindi-inspired stuff, mostly jewelry I bought in India from Indian women, who were thrilled to dress me up in it. I'm waiting for someone to comment. I'm sure it won't be an Indian woman who does.

So, no costumes or movies allowed, then. Any costume for any occasion unless it is just some random thing will refer to some culture. If you have got the costume perfect, it is appropriation. If you have a sloppy costume, it is an insult.
Movies: any movie about a historical period that is accurate, and is about say England or pirates will feature all white actors--not PC. But if you make it not accurate and put in a quota of diversity it becomes absurd. If you make a realistic movie about Gengis Khan, it shows his brutality and that is bad, but if you whitewash it we are back to 1950s silly movies where the hero always shoots the gun out of the bad guy's hand. Apparently you can't even do a high school play that makes fun of Hitler because you have to use his name.
