I cannot believe no one's brought this up on this blog, but it's been all over YouTube, and may result (and should result) in the firing of three of The Young Turks.
Cenk Uygur, having been thoroughly embarrassed by his misquote of Sarah Palin, was approached by Alex Jones of InfoWars, having been invited by one of Cenk's own people.
(Regarding Sarah Palin, she had accused the Black Lives Matter rioters of not being "peaceful"; Cenk misheard her and though she was saying Black Lives Matter protesters are not "people," and went to town on what he thought was a "gotcha" moment -- Ha! Ha! Sarah Palin just said that blacks aren't people!)
Anyhow, the gregarious Alex Jones, remained cordial and polite. Cenk, however, lost all control. Jimmy Dore, in what will surely be remembered the the biggest bitch move of the 21st century, took a bit of his drink and spit it in Alex Jones's face.
Ana Kasparian, devout feminist whose heart supposedly bleeds for the victims of fat-shaming, hissed at Jones to get off the stage, calling him a "fat fuck."
Never mind that as far as corpulence goes, Cenk has Jones beat by a good fifty pounds.
I remember that time you said I knew (and cared) who Jones was when I didn't (and still don't).
How exactly did he earn his poster space on your teenage bedroom wall?
Did he make fun of Bambi or give cancer to orphans or something? Is it possible that any other reader of this blog has Jones' bee in the bonnet as buzzingly as you do?
And now, my favorite joke:
Q.: What do you call a Filipino contortionist?
A: A Manilla Folder!
Listen, don't judge me... I'm just trying to stay awake until the 5:00am (PST) start of the Hungarian Grand Prix. It's in Hungary, which is near Europe, beside a village called Budapest. Rosberg has pole, but that only means that Hamilton will have to work a little harder to win, which is a virtual certainty.
Coffee and Cab only keep you awake for so long, then you need to be roused by annoyance at other people.
This is a wonderful blog. For that.
Did you hear about our fires out here? In California? Freakin' cataclysmic.
Three hours 17 minutes to go.

One thing that came to mind when I was making fun of Patrick just now is that when you look closely at that racetrack, there's no parking.
I regard this as a big deal. Those goofballs go to their Sunday entertainments on public transit.
Euroweenies, especially the kind who were living mostly under Soviet domination for a generation or two, are too wimpy to demand automotive freedom. That's an American thing, and it's not strictly economic. Americans don't like getting told where to go or how to get there. We want to drive on our own dime in our own time, and listen to our own music on the 8-track on the way.
After a string of lukewarm movie releases from its Hollywood studio, Sony Corp.’s Tokyo headquarters is telling its US operation to slash costs.
Michael Lynton, Sony’s top man in the US, has been implementing a host of cuts, including layoffs, The Post has learned.
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) has already pink-slipped roughly 100 from its 700-person workforce as it looks to consolidate back-office functions, sources said.
Hello, Crid. Believe it or not, I was actually toying with the idea of including a reference to you in my post over that very fact. I was going to mention Alex Jones and include a parenthetical remark about how "whom Crid has never heard of and seems horribly offended that I have."
But I decided I wasn't going to do that. Aren't I nice?
You asked a civil question, so I'll give you a civil answer. Alex Jones is a radio show host, with a considerable following (he has over 1.5 million followers on YouTube). He is most widely known for being a devout conspiracy theorist, which explains why I know who he is, since I enjoy following and ridiculing conspiracy theories, especially the Truther movement (those who believe that 9/11 was an inside job) and the Birther movement (those who believe that Obama is not a natural born citizen and therefore ineligible to be President, which included Donald Trump among its followers).
Alex Jones promotes every conspiracy theory he happens to hear of. (I don't think he believes half the stuff he says he does, but it makes him a good living.)
But to set the record straight, I don't care in the least for Alex Jones. I despise conspiracy theorists. Yes, most conspiracy theories are fairly harmless and silly, but some, like the Sovereign Citizen movement, are outright dangerous. They've been known to engage in shootouts with the police causing fatalities on both sides.
I have no use for the Qatar-funded Muslim-apologist Young Turks, either.
There were no dogs to be had in that fight between Jones and The Young Turks. It would have suited me just fine if Alex Jones and Cenk Uyger had killed each other that day. The world would have been better off for it.
However, in this case, Uyger was clearly in the wrong. And Jimmy Dore spitting in Jones' face then running away was textbook cowardice. Jones was in no position to defend himself when Dore spit on him. Uyger had him against the wall.

You've said that often over the years, even as no one else has taken notice of that person.
Great start to the race this morning. Lewis took turn one with the Red Bull of Riciardo hot on his trail, but Rosberg was back in second by turn three.

Hungary, you will note, can't (even) find the coin to defend its own borders to the standard NATO asks of it.
Amy is a little goofy about Islam, draining her appreciation of other hazards to world comity.
But don't kid yourself. America stands alone, and always has, in her courage and decency. We really have to not fuck this up.

Note the expansive, welcoming parking areas at the young venue for Formula One racing the United States, the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Which is in Texas.
Cot-TAM, I love this country.
