"Donald Trump is a deplorable candidate — to put it charitably — and anyone who helps him advance his racial, religious and ethnic bigotry is part of that bigotry. Period. Anyone who elevates a sexist is part of that sexism. The same goes for xenophobia."
Man, it's almost like Trump foiled our country's efforts to stop foreign parties from spying on us electronically, took money from foreign parties that kill LGBT parties and put women in a box keeping them out of life under the control of men, trashed the lives of women seeking help from a sexual predator, and lied about everything.
Whew! That would be really bad wouldn't it. Good thing he's only deplorable or we'd be in trouble if he won.

So, the Democrats are racist because Woodrow Wilson was? After all, they helped advance his racism and his re-segregation of Washington, DC.
How about Bill Clinton, an accused rapist. By supporting him and advancing his agenda, do the Democrats (and the New York Times) bear any culpability in his crimes? Hillary helped cover it up and worked to discredit his accusers. Does any of that culpability rub off on her?
Or is this just an effort by the New York Times to cover itself in self-righteous indignation as it advocates the election of another progressive dictator?
Trump certainly has made some statements that are reprehensible. Would that Hillary were subject to the same hyper critical analysis and projection of her agenda and public pronouncements. Would that the media leapt tot he same level of outrageous conclusions about her statements that they happily leap to with Trump.
Neither candidate is worth supporting on their own terms. Each only stands out in comparison to the other one. Vote for the lesser evil (or vote for Cthulhu and don't settle for the lesser evil). Your choice is essentially a 10-year-old brat hemmed in by both parties or a progressive dictator with a blank check from her own party. You could vote for Johnson, if he can figure out where Aleppo is.

I’ve made clear that I will vote for [Trump], not because he was my choice in the Republican field (that was Sen. Cruz), but because I believe that rule of law is a precondition for a free society. If the Clintons get a free pass for influence-peddling on the multi-hundred-million-dollar scale and for covering up illegal use of private communications for government documents, the rule of law is a joke in the United States. Even if Trump were a worse president than Clinton–which is probably not the case–I would vote for him, on this ground alone.
I got this far and starting laughing. Didn't finish the article but I'm sure it's good. Maybe they can try this in Chicago since Obama is familiar with that city and will have time on his hands soon.
"The policy demands of this movement thematically calls for a divestment from institutions that harm people — ranging from police to jails — and for that money to be reallocated to our communities so that we can invest in the education, employment, and healing of black people."
Bob in TX. Clinton's "basket of deplorables" remark about Trump supporters is such an opportunity. It'll be fun to watch The Donald put it to use. It's reminiscent of Kaiser Wilhelm supposedly referring to the British Expeditionary Force as a "contemptible little army" in 1914. After Mons and Le Cateau the remaining regular army Brits took pride in calling themselves The Old Contemptibles.
I think he wore it better
