Almost There
Sorry blogging's been a little light over the past few days, especially. I'm turning in my next book to my editor either on Monday or Tuesday! Should be back to normal around here soon. As normal as it can be and still be my site, that is!

Oh, God, not 'back to normal', anything but that ;-)

Hah -- love you for that.
It's been exhausting. Have barely left the house for a year. But Gregg's been wonderful, getting me food, cooking me dinner. Like bringing food to the prisoner, but believe me, I'm grateful and I love what this book has turned out to be. Hardest thing I've ever written -- and the best.

We're looking forward to it! When will the book be out?

So how are going to decompress?
I had a year work assignment that was so stressful I was waking up every hour or so to leave myself notes about what had to happen over the next few days w/different company departments and different companies.
Awful. Should have taken a month off afterwards but needed to "save" my real job (Management got promoted to other departments and new bosses resented my absence).
Take a vacation for at least 2 weeks even it's staying at home, sleeping late, and going for a coffee/pastry in the morning.

The floggings will continue until morale improves.

And speaking of new books, don't forget to add Rachel Dolezal's new memoir "In Full Color: Finding My Place in a Black and White World" to your reading list.
Because when I think "Gee, I need to fill up on bullshit from a batshit-crazy race-addled nitwit", I think "Rachel Dolezal".

Still rockin' the not-dreads and spray tan, too. You go, girl.

Old R P M, thanks -- January 2018.
I just emailed my agent the book.
SUCH A THRILL!
I love this book so much, and I hope it makes a difference for people.
Oh, and Bob, I'm doing a TED talk on Saturday, so I'm going to "press" -- all week, memorizing the thing along with writing my column for next week. I need to have it memorized to my core, so if I get nervous, I won't forget it or skip bits.
I took tonight off for formatting! (The book.)
And Bob, sorry you went through that. The truth is, I have to put my life back together in a number of ways and work on getting speaking engagements, so I can't quite slow down. But I've been basically working 5 a.m. into the evening every night for at least a year, and about as crazily before that. I have barely left the house, gone anywhere, talked to anyone, or seen anyone. So even a night to go out with a friend or dinner out with Gregg somewhere or just a slightly relaxed pace will be a wonderful luxury.
And then I have to do any edits on the book and turn it back in!
I was two months late on top of my earlier extension, so my editor probably needs to get this back to me pretty fast.
Anyway, thanks for the good wishes. I can't wait for people to read this -- and maybe, just maybe, make big positive changes in their lives.
