Victor Davis Hanson is a professor, conservative thinker, and a farmer. He is the fifth generation to live in the same house on his family’s farm in central California.
Over the years he has written numerous articles about the physical and social decline he sees and experiences as the region around him declines into a third-world ruin. (He writes about much else too, and is always interesting - check his archives at his website if you're so inclined.)
Here's his most recent article about the farm. I'll put links to some of the others in separate posts below.
I didn't think it was that bad. I would point out to her that Trump has only talked about expelling illegal immigrants. So, the actors she mentions (whom I presume are here legally) are perfectly safe.
She also criticized Trump's mocking of a disabled reporter. Since Trump never apologized for it, and instead denied he ever did it, I see no reason Trump should live that incident down.

Given that you have to have legal status in order to work legally in the USofA, I'd say that's a good bet.
Keep that in mind if someone brings up "undocumented workers". It is not legal to employ them, and they're not (for the most part) eligible for welfare benefits. Someone is committing a crime if they do get employed: they're either engaging in identity theft or they're being paid off-book.
Off book means that the employer is not: withholding income taxes, paying for unemployment and worker's comp insurance, or paying for ObamaCare mandates.
Turns out, it is rather expensive to hire actual Americans, green card holders, and people with work visas due to all the government mandated overhead.
And unless you're hiring illegals at a rate that the Swift meat packing company was, you're not likely to get caught.
Ms. Streep to the white courtesy phone. On the one hand, it's Piers Morgan. On the other, Roman Polanski?
Sorry, Meryl but that hypocritical anti-Trump rant was easily the worst performance of your career (apart from that time you gave a child rapist a standing ovation)
heitak: she seems nice. Or, to quote Iowahawk: does she know anyone who owns a pickup truck?
Meanwhile, if you wanted to talk up the positive aspects of Obamacare, you'd do it on the same night as the college football championship game? seems reasonable, since you won't have a basket full of deplorables and irredeemables viewing your snoozefest.
Democrats will attempt to save Obamacare Monday night by holding a talkathon with the help of friendly groups like Planned Parenthood. Their effort is scheduled the same night as the college football championship game between Clemson and Alabama.
"She also criticized Trump's mocking of a disabled reporter. Since Trump never apologized for it, and instead denied he ever did it, I see no reason Trump should live that incident down."
To be fair Patrick Trump mocked a reporter who happened to be disabled. He has done the exact same mocking moves against perfectly able bodied people. Also the spastic gestures Trump used aren't part of that reporter's disability.
Still in poor taste and stupid.

Some of my conservative friends have complained about the political attacks on Donald Trump at the Golden Globes.
For instance, Meryl Streep's acceptance speech.

Quick question. As trump used the same movements to mock non disabled reporters BEFORE the disable reporter who is the bigger bigot?
The jackass who treat everyone like shit, or the people claiming disabled people are to fragile to be treated the same way everyone else is?
