The internet is a big place, and you can read an article and, the very next day, not remember where you saw it. This happened to me. I need you to help me find something.
Yesterday someone wrote a piece about the Golden Globes saying that—
Donald Trump already has a short but sturdy list of film credits... Shitty movies, but they're not low-budget or arty things. He's as much a part of the Hollywood machine as many of the people at that awards ceremony on Sunday.
He's dishonest and petty and vain and cheats his partners.... He's exactly the like most of the people who Hollywood stars work with. They hate him because the recognize him so readily.
If Katz lost his job as an economist, and had to take one changing the diapers of elderly patients, I’ve no doubt that he would find this emotionally difficult, but I wouldn’t say that this is because his preferences for his current occupation are “backward.” The patient-care work is necessary, and should be honored. It’s also, let’s be honest, much less pleasant than sitting in an office and writing about what other people should do with their working lives.

Some time ago, I posted a video by MTV which was their list of New Year's Resolutions for white guys.
The backlash was swift and fierce. Very few, even among non-white YouTubers, were amused. The downvoting and negative comments were so rife, MTV tried to purge the negative votes and comments by taking down the video and reposting it.
And the same happened when they reposted it, so MTV took it down and hasn't put it back up. And unfortunately, it was taken down before some of the bloggers here got to see it.
Thankfully, some YouTubers didn't think MTV should just be allowed to walk away from their mistake and forget it ever happened, and reposted it.
It's all about the children UNLESS you are in the Teachers Union. Gotta keep those unfilled positions unfilled ya know! Can NOT have parents chipping in to help out the CHILDREN!
Aside from paying Holder $25,000 per month plus expenses for FUTURE legal actions, "Orange County have spent the last 16 years arguing the most absurd legal proposition in the entire nation: How could social workers have known it was wrong to lie, falsify records and hide exculpatory evidence in 2000 so that a judge would forcibly take two young daughters from their mother for six-and-a-half years?"
Oh, yeah. Let's do away the Electoral College so these guys can run the country. They are "adults".
Patrick, I read the Zatat piece. It's a cruel assessment of Gosling's speech that she uses as a wedge to get her complaint on the table. I could use it as the rationale underpinning her claim that out of "1206 movies 60 to 90 percent of the dialogue was delivered by men."
But instead, here's one example in the piece she links to: "Even romantic comedies have dialogue that is, on average, 58% male."
Of course. How could you woo a woman without talking to her?
I know people like Zatat are trying to make sense of the world, and some good may come of it.

Over at Instapundit, a story on Ukraine trying to undermine Trump prior to the election. Seems reasonable that they'd prefer the candidate they thought would be tougher on Putin.
Is there anybody not trying to mess with our elections?
In a way it’s comforting, though. Even after eight years of Obama, other countries still think we matter.
Lin: defense attorney
Trott: 9th circuit Court of Appeals judge
TBH, I sort of feel bad for Lin. As the adage goes, when the facts on your side, pound on the facts. When the law is on your side, pound on the law. When the facts and the law are against you, pound on the table.
Lin: According to our moral compass and our ethical guidelines, but we're here to decide the constitutionality of it and we look to the courts to tell us.
Trott: You mean to tell us due process is consistent with a government official submitting perjured testimony and false evidence? How is that consistent? I mean I hate to get pumped up about this but I'm just staggered by the claim that people in the shoes of your clients wouldn't be on notice that you can't use perjury and false evidence to take away somebody's children. That to me is mind boggling.
Lin: In criminal proceedings we know this to be true because . . .
Trott: No, no! It's a court proceeding with a liberty interest, a fundamental liberty interest at stake.
Please inform Ms Portman I will change with her at any time. I can't act and don't look anywhere near as good but I also don't take in $46M in a year. So if she is dissatisfied I'm happy to trade.

So, Rex Tillerson, nominee for Secretary of State, having met Vladimir Putin and having had a cordial relationship with him is terrible because Putin is a war criminal for dropping bombs on Syrian civilians in Aleppo, violating, as on US senator put it, "every rule of war?"
When did war get rules?
Remember when Mrs. Pelosi went to Syria as Speaker of the House on a trip meant to undermine a sitting US president? And the New York Times celebrated the trip?
Remember when Bashar al Assad, president of Syria, dropped chemical weapons on Syrian civilians?

Ryan Gosling gave a very touching tribute to his wife Eva Mendes at the Golden Globes. But it seems not everyone was pleased.
Narjas Zatat of "The Independent" took issue with Ryan Gosling's "sexism."
You decide. Here's Zatat's article, complete with a video of Gosling's speech.
