Okay, so what we need is a way to bring private sector accountability to government service. From education and academe to research and administration and military service and regulation and law enforcement and bookkeeping and tax collection and legislation and floor mopping and all the rest, government employees are insufficiently accountable.
Possible approaches!:
1. No one working for government will be permitted to vote from the dates of their employment plus three months theretofore and seven years thereafter.
2. Every five hundred government employees at every level will, when their performance is challenged by a private-sector taxpayer, report to an particular individual "gummint" court with jurors selected from other non-government people from an adjacent region, and when you get three decisions against you, you're fired and your retirement bennies, if any have accrued, are cut in half.
3. As always, people who aren't American citizens will be instructed to get lost.
Thinking out loud here, but you see where I'm going with it.

Also, this is the music you should be listening to this week. It's Russian.
It's what you hear in the first shots of Discovery en route to Jupiter, when Poole's jogging around the cabin and all that.

As demonstrated, not knowing what they do won't impede judgment at all.

Rad, as much as I like disagreeing with crid, unless those government employees are working in clandestine services they should be able to adequately explain why they do what they do and why they get paid to do it
I'm really convinced women shouldn't be allowed to vote, shrinking violets that they are.
It’s 11 a.m. on a recent Friday, and 29-year-old Audrey Gelman—public-relations powerhouse, former Hillary Clinton press aide, longtime friend of Lena Dunham’s—is sitting on a pink couch at the Wing, the co-working space and social club she co-founded this October in New York. A man walks through the elevator doors, and Gelman throws him a friendly wave. “That’s our AV guy,” she says. “He’s basically the only man that comes through here.”
That’s because the Wing—so-named because, like the wing of a house, it’s a separate space—is just for women. Co-working is hardly new; industry trade magazine Deskmag estimated there would be 10,000 co-working spots worldwide by the end of 2016.
I would feel sorry for the token diversity gay guy who works at that wing. Unless, of course, his real job is to be a HR spy on all the work-related backstabbing gossip.

A couple of people from the Uber generation travel to Cuba, are not so impressed.
For the infrastructure, transportation and even food to be as expensive as it was, everything should have been leaps and bounds better than what it was. This only means 1 of 2 things in that the country is a massive tourist trap or that the government is skimming money and not reinvesting it to build a country up. By the end of the night, we decided that it was both.
Investigators are looking into a Facebook Live video shot on the West Side that shows a group of people holding a young man hostage.
Chicago police told FOX 32 that four people are currently in custody.
Chicago police were made aware of this video Tuesday afternoon. A young African American woman streamed the video live on Facebook showing at least four people holding a young white man hostage.
Now let's see how fast this story gets hidden from public view.

The war on men continues a pace.
College men, meet Mia Karvonides, your new worst nightmare.
Currently she’s the head of the “Title IX and Gender Equity” office at Harvard University, charged with ensuring there is no safe space for men anywhere at Harvard.
...
Intent on taking this “War on Men” national, President Obama and his minions have engineered the appointment of Ms. Karvonides, effective Jan. 17, to serve as the federal government’s top official in charge of enforcing Title IX against all colleges and universities, according to a Harvard Crimson story broken about 5 p.m. (Eastern time) today: “Title IX Officer Mia Karvonides to Leave Harvard.”

Goddamn right it won't. Goddamn right it won't.
Those who can't articulate their worth and demonstrate competitive excellence to the people who pay their salaries deserve the pay cuts & termination.
