Specifically, and most surprisingly, the Millennial generation appears to be having less sex than anyone, despite all the benefits that technology affords in finding casual sex .... Indeed, another study published in summer of 2016 came to the same conclusion: Millennials, despite all hype to the contrary, were the most prudish generation in a century...
The camera crew wanted me to identify some reasons why I thought Millennials might be choosing to have less sex. I immediately thought of my clients, three young men who each separately had told me earlier in the year that they were terrified of casually hooking up due to fears of false rape accusations and confusion regarding policies such as affirmative consent.
A reader quipped something like, "Who would have thought it would be the progressives who brought back 1950's sexual mores to college campuses?"
Hilarious, but unfortunately also thin. In the 1950's there was courtship ritual, and the fellas ended by asking the girl to marry. That's not how it works anymore, and it's driving college women nuts.
So it might be better to say that what's arrived on campus is 1970's-onward corporate behavior. That's when male managers started keeping the door open when women were in their office, avoided being in an elevator alone with a woman, and adopted numerous other contortions to insulate themselves from accusation. Now, corporate women are complaining these behaviors deny them critical mentorship because the higher-ups keep them at arm's length.

An example of a self-righteous prick right there. No actual knowledge just bias trying to smart(alexy).
The controlling of thought/actions by cultural morays is Mother Nature herself. People choosing to let others think for them is also timeless.
If you can not "see" that there is a difference between a woman choosing to be wooed and bedded and one that simply does not care who she has sex with then you are prey to all sorts of different predators.

I think you missed the context. Not a surprise, because in a sense it was poorly stated (and I've made the same mistake myself). What we're going back to isn't the 1950s. It's the Middle Ages. Women are property of the tribal chief or the lord of the estate. It is not for the likes of you or I to trespass upon the lord's property. We must mind our station.
What the Millennial men are saying is that they don't want marriage and they don't want sex either. It's too dangerous, and porn is easy to find and cheap.
They would never admit it, but the postmodern feminists are actually screaming for patriarchy. They want the patriarch -- in the form of government, and the one-percenter men who both personify it and actually control it -- to coddle them and protect them and feed them and give them status. In exchange, these women are willing to grant to those men their affection and sexual favors, because, in their heart of hearts, they perceive that this is all they have to offer.

Not sure. I believe that this is yet another example of someone not having read any books, fiction or otherwise, only Twitter. I seriously doubt "these people" would understand your point. (How can you actually boycott Israel if you are for LGBT/Women's rights?)
Their only knowledge of what happened in the earlier decades is based on what they have been told by others.
They know "stuff" but only based on speaking points spewed out of hateful people. I say hateful because they "hate".
They do not understand what cultural mores were in place or why. They are trying to be "cool".

"Teen Pregnancy Rates Decrease Because of More Contraception (Not Less Sex)"
The teen pregnancy rate in the United States declined 25 percent from 2007 to 2011. The decline can be seen in all states and among all racial and ethnic groups, although some groups experienced greater declines than others.
According to a new study, “Understanding the Decline in Adolescent Fertility in the United States, 2007–2012”, adolescent pregnancy rates declined even as sexual activity by adolescents (ages 15-19) remained steady:
“There was no significant change in adolescent sexual activity during this time period,” says lead author Dr. Lindberg. “Rather, our new data suggest that recent declines in teens’ risk of pregnancy — and in their pregnancy rates — are driven by increased contraceptive use.”

Since when does any female college student WANT to get married by 21? On average, I'm pretty sure the DESIRED age for marriage is closer to 26 - for that demographic.
Not to mention that it's very often a bad idea for men OR women to marry the SOs they had in college - it would almost be like marrying their high school sweethearts. Chances are that college students know that.

@IRA,
Just BBQing meat for the sake of trolling people on hunger strikes is nice but it needs some pizzazz. Hell, they should also bake some cakes (the just add water ones should suffice). Make them drool over the scent of really good stuff.
Two years ago yesterday I visited the Museum at Wright-Patterson. Neither an aviation enthusiast nor a military historian, it was something to do on a shirtsleeve afternoon in Ohio, and my date was game.
Seeing all those beasts parked cheek-by-jowl is intense. It's emotional, and it's not just nostalgic. I can't imagine a richer venue for pride in American design and manufacturing prowess, and no squeamishness about the purposes of killing can challenge that.
But the museum also diminishes its holdings, indisputably. First, because there's no building in the world large enough to give these behemoths the space they deserve for respectful comparison. We may never have walked through a larger room... But still, they're all essentially just jammed in there. They're big and they're grey, if not black; Sunlight itself wouldn't have illuminated them with sufficiently respectful drama.
And more to the point, the people who build, fly, and fund such wondrous machines aren't tasteful museum types. It's a government installation, after all, and that drains the color and warmth at every corner. Families with squealing children scurry about with prams, scrubbing away the vibe of military order that put these things in the sky. A pathetic set of introductory displays reminded us that mentally retarded black women in wheelchairs played an important and too-often overlooked role in American dominance of 20th-century military aviation.
I was all, right. Sure.
Still, highly recommended. To casually glance up and see a hulking B-52 on an afternoon when you were treading along and thinking about maybe picking up a burger & ice tea for lunch is an emotional experience that boomer generation people will not forget.

How did the topic of military planes come up, anyway?
If you get a chance to attend an open house at an Air Force base, I highly recommend it. They'll have static displays of aircraft as well as flying demonstrations. My Dad is a retired crew chief and remember how great it was to hear his stories working on various aircraft when walking around an open house. If you can get to the Nellis AFB Open House this November, it would a terrific one to attend since Nellis sees so very many aircraft in the inventory. And if you like Vegas, you have all the perks associated with that town.
