Have we covered this? Because it's freaking brilliant. Tiny, too... Like 20 bars or something. (Do any of you know how to count it up properly? Let me know.)
I love that its composer, Johnny Mandel, was ninety when he wrote it, or just days away. He was basically able to turn the chord changes from a fifty-year-old piece of pop trash into something gentle and glorious. Perhaps both the franchise and the composer had to age that deeply for it to happen.

@Crid,
Do you know what Graphene and Intrasexual Competition have in common? Toss them at every problem you find and there's a high probability that one of the two could solve it.
I don't think you're capable of articulating, in two or three taut sentences built from tidy citations and/or quotations, a difference you & I might share on any matter of public importance... Certainly not Islam. You're not up to it. You wanna launch little popcorn-pops of sarcasm and imagine them to be poignant and percussive— But actually they're muddy and inane. ("Outrage"!)
Let me know if I'm wrong, but don't waste anyone's time, okay?
I built one of these in Junior High, when the teacher was being boring. But I threw it away at lunch, because big deal...

There's a component of compassion for Rahm here... After all, it's still just a proposal.
Various concerned voices will demand that the impoverished and incompetent kids in Chicago's neighborhoods be given ever-greater measures of masculine support from distant and disinterested government functionaries... And when these things are offered, they're mocked as intrusive and authoritarian.
These kids don't have anyone to ask them in their teenage years exactly how the fuck they expect to make their way through the world. (And they don't have any fathers in the years theretofore showing them how they might earn their way through life.)
Crid, Muslims fire rockets into Israel. Muslims rape women in Sweden. Muslims riot in France and Germany. A Muslim beheaded a woman at his former workplace in Oklahoma. Muslims butchered numerous theater goers at the Bataclan in France. Muslims blow themselves up so often, that jokes are made about Islamic parents remarking that their kids blow up so fast.
Poverty and backwardness cannot explain it all, since there are instances of wealthy people becoming Islamic terrorists.
Who need quotations when you have . . . REALITY . . . through countless examples of Islamic mayhem.
Amy has countless times explained, in those taut sentences that you are so fond of, with quotations from the Koran, the problems with the Islamic religion, and yet you seem determined to mock her for it.
My opinion is that wherever Muslims may settle in the world, a certain percentage of them will be determined to try to take over with violence and hyper-procreation. That is basically who they are, and it is why we should stop Islamic immigration into the USA now.
This jihad is just beginning. Hopefully, we'll live through it to continue insulting each other.

> and yet you seem
Right... "seem". No specifics.
You're being clear: You know exactly the things you want to know, and you enjoy knowing the shit out of them, and you don't want to know any more things. I mean, it's fun to say Moozlims! No!, isn't it? It sustains the illusion that someone was asking you a yes or no question about the flow of human events, or even about the receptivity of American culture. Yet, so far as I can tell, no one's asking.
You're existentially concerned about a 'jihad that's just beginning.'
Carry on! But don't, like Amy, pretend to have done the reading.

I asked him to say exactly what our difference was, but he couldn't. You can't either. Jeff used to do that, too. 15-year-olds quibble in this style when they're trying to stake territory in adult "anger" without having yet formulated defensible rhetorical positions. 'Don't you just KNOOOWWW??', followed by an eye-roll and an overblown sigh.
No. Put it in a sentence, else be seen and not heard.
