One of its dirty secrets has long been that several methods of subtle, hidden, deliberate rationing is used to control health care costs. "Free health care for everyone" is the mantra, with the catch being "...but we'll make sure you can't get at it."
People suffer and die because of this.

Precisely zero percent.
These imaginary metrics are composed by socially- and scientifically-illiterate ninnies who don't recognize their own desperation to speak with the (entirely bogus) Roman Catholic certitude of Papal infallibility. They want nothing more than to make social distance from other people.
They haven't earned it.
I haven't followed the link yet. Tomorrow I will do so and report back regarding the ways it has disappointed me.

Oh, FFS, Stinky. This is stupid frogwash:
We face two very distinct possible realities. In one future, thanks to the greed of a small handful of global elites, humans will become extinct. [...]
Enter the second possible future, forged through global unity, instead of division.
Without looking, I was exactly, EXACTLY right. This wasn't a scientific consideration of humanity's impact on other species at all. It was a ⅓-transparently political and ⅔-religiously proselytizing tract of garbage.
I knew it. I knew it.
Listen, if these people want so badly to be seen as oracular, angelic priests in sanctimonious robes, why don't they just go back to church?

I say burn it. Burn it all. IIRC Aspen trees love wildfires because it stimulates resprouting. Maybe aggressive wild fire controls are the reason for the withering.

The stench of bureaucratic calculation oozes from Britain's national health care system:
