Here's a news story about a cute, sick baby. It's a few days old, so there may already have been some kind of, um, resolution.
If the parents have the resources to keep the kid going —and they've apparently acquired those resources through the private generosity of their surrounding community— I can't quite see why their government is interfering.
What's the point of being a parent at all if the "consensus" of expert opinion can overwhelm your plans for your child?... Even by forbidding the progress of the child's life at all?
That question sounds too compassionate, and I'm trying to be a sumbitch here.
I sincerely respect the scythe of capitalism, even in this most tragic context. I hate socialized medicine, because we are all going to need medical care. Some need more or less than others because we CHOOSE to need more or less, while for others the needs are compulsory. But either way, it's got to be paid for, because we want the best people in medicine we can get. And the best possible arrangement is to pay for your own, and to donate a little more for those who can't afford it.
That's what's happening for this kid... Other people are showing kindness to a stranger. Why are the government figures who've been hired to serve this child being such peckerheads?
The Senate’s first Latina, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, is also the first female senator to suggest diversity quotas in place of democratic selection for members of Congress.
Mamas, I simply can not say how sorry I am that in today's world rape is okay if the 14 year old did something stupid weeks earlier. Saying "No", screaming, reporting it to the police, and such mean nothing. Oh, Trump thought this was awful but MSM did not even report on it and chided Trump for his opinion. SNORT.

Lol Cortez cracks me up as a Representative of Mexican-Americans. She is just milking it for her political benefit.
She has 1 grandfather from Mexico. That's her entire claim to Mexican ancestry. If you read her essay on how she is JUST like Judge Gonzalo Curiel she never mentions all her other relatives who happen to......not be Mexican.....lmao
And her grandfather was from Chihuahua which might be IMO the whitest Mexican state. I think the state is like 40% white. It's pretty common for people from that state to be blonde blue eyed.

California, New York, and Illinois are losing people to other states. And only making up that population loss with an influx of foreign migrants.

You know, the giant bunny that United killed "by accident" was cremated, and the breeder complained that it was to cover up whatever neglect that happened.
What is the problem with American air travelers, NONE MORESO THAN THE ADULTS, who can't plan for even a half-hour of their lives to be spent without access to a toilet?
What *is* that?
I been flying across the country a lot. Also I like to drink coffee. Also I like to drink cheap wine during flights. So on the inside I'm moist as can be, but airplanes are filthy, so I don't piss on them. I drink the things I love most, but five and a half hours is not a problem, because I freaking well deal with it before the flight, during the flight, and afterward.
What is going on with people who can't handle a twenty-minute tarmac delay on either end?
Landed somewhere last year, I forget where. This young guy dashed into the john as the plane had paused at a cross-runway while taxiing, and he had the door locked before the stew could stop him. So then the tower says move your plane before the next flight drops in, only the pilot can't move the plane until Mr. Excretion packs his playtoy into his pants and slithers back down the aisle.
Airport taxiways are not safe places. Hundreds of lives are put at risk because these weasels can't listen to their bodies, or look at their wristwatches, or constrain their urinary tracts for an event sequence of FAMOUS logistical rigidity.
Go ahead, act like a loathsome, selfish child... As with so many discourtesies in the public sphere, there's nothing I can do to stop you.
But when you act like a loathsome, selfish child, perhaps banging into my knees as you tumble back into your seat, don't smirk at me with a consiritorial glimmer in your eye… As if you have my sympathy because we agree that it could happen to anyone.
No. We do not. It happened to you because of your disregard for the most obvious rhythms of your own torpid, incompetent body.

Crid, the answer is obvious:
Insist all passengers are fully diapered and strapped in and then flood the compartment with knockout gas.
At least that would let them then empty the seats they want to give to their employees - and it would certainly end the problem of violent drunks aloft!
Well, in the passenger compartment, anyway. No telling what happens in the cockpit.

Crid is absolutely right. Taxiways are adjacent to runways, where airplanes are going very fast. There are any number of things that can go bad wrong. I can link to some accident records if you want to read them. (You probably don't.)
