Talk About Charlottesville
My tweet about their "Blood and Soil" slogan:
Helps to be smarter than your average Nazi publicity director. Their slogan, effectively: "Blood and skidmarks." https://t.co/ekFqDO9uxM

Eric Holder weighs in and promptly gets shot down.

This is just a warm up. The groups involved will get more and more violent as time goes on.
Snoopy at August 13, 2017 9:09 AM
Political violence will become the new normal.
Snoopy at August 13, 2017 9:10 AM
I disagree Snoopy. Violence during political protests and other events has been increasing ( at least in part ) because the police have been ordered not to intervene. This has allowed the Antifa and BLM crowd to riot and commit assaults with impunity. Not surprisingly, violence has escalated.
Now that the alt-right is responding in equal measure, I expect that the police will be allowed to intervene and squash these incidents.
The fact is, Democratic politicians have been using Antifa as their stormtroopers, to harass and intimidate their political enemies. That's why they are ordering police to stand down. Until now, they could count on Antifa being able to overwhelm their targets both in number and their readiness for violence. That's not the case any longer.
Expect to see these same politicians to now demand for a crackdown on violence and harsh measures against political agitators.
Norm at August 13, 2017 3:19 PM
Norm - I agree; the police have been standing down while the democrat thugs run wild and the press ignores their violence or blames their victims. (e.g., "more violence at Trump rallies")
Now, that others are fighting back things will change.
charles at August 13, 2017 5:54 PM
Norm and charles - I wish you were right, but I'm not all that confident. Already violence going down in Seattle:

Said it before. Fifty years ago, on campus, the left had trouble recruiting mesomorphs.
Seems to still be the case.
However, it appears that a substantial number of mesomorphs are employed, which reduces their counter protesting opportunities.
Eventually, they're going to coordinate their comp time or vacations.
Richard Aubrey at August 13, 2017 7:47 PM
Yes, I would love to turn on the TV one night and see some productive mesomorphs getting together to administer beatdowns to these knuckleheads.

Considering that their Fuhrer was a junkie at night, a speed freak in the morning, and an enthusiastic fan of bull semen injections, I'd have to say we're not dealing with the brightest bulbs on the string.

You're remarkably weird. Drinker?
Crid at August 13, 2017 8:40 PM
"Eventually, they're going to coordinate their comp time or vacations."
Nah. For the left-wing ones, the government will give them paid time off to work for the Party.

"The trouble with you, Spode, is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the London scene by going about in black shorts, you think you're someone. You hear them shouting "Heil, Spode!" and you imagine it is the Voice of the People. That is where you make your bloomer. What the Voice of the People is saying is: "Look at that frightful ass Spode swanking about in footer bags! Did you ever in your puff see such a perfect perisher?" ~ PG Wodehouse (The Code of the Woosters)
Conan the Grammarian at August 14, 2017 1:47 PM
More Wodehouse on the silliness of Nazis and fascists:
"His general idea, if he doesn’t get knocked on the head with a bottle in one of the frequent brawls in which he and his followers indulge, is to make himself a Dictator."
"Well, I’m blowed!" I was astounded at my keenness of perception. The moment I had set eyes on Spode, ...I had said to myself "What ho! A Dictator!" and a Dictator he had proved to be....
"Well, I’m dashed! I thought he was something of that sort. That chin ... Those eyes ... And, for the matter of that, that moustache. By the way, when you say 'shorts,' you mean 'shirts,' of course."
"No. By the time Spode formed his association, there were no shirts left. He and his adherents wear black shorts."
"Footer bags, you mean?"
"Yes."
"How perfectly foul.”
