1. I've read that the "poisonous" Michigan water would have met the water quality standards of the 1980's. We ask more of our services nowadays (as well we should, but let's not panic).

2. The bad water itself probably has nothing to do with it: More likely that imagining your kid might might be intellectual diminished in his or her first days of life is a real boner-killer.
