my 2 cents: Why does Cuba have so many Drs and Nurses? if you become a medical person you can leave this stinking country for a short time. Though they will keep your kids/family hostage for your return. Even for that taste of freedom many sign up.

I saw an article earlier today about people living on a very diverse street in a Vancouver suburb (Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.) that said Canadians were "thrilled" to accept and help Syrian refugees. Wonder if they still are.
