Yeah, that's what editors are for. On the other hand, here's his twit feed: https://twitter.com/wessiedutoit
I can't find a bio, so I'm guessing he's a Euroweenie and is unused to freedom and the notion of the natural rights of man.
I wonder, tho, if he would agree that MLK and the US civil rights movement should have been shutdown because it would upset an otherwise orderly society?

If you're having a bad day, it could be worse.
At that moment, I was struck by the incredible series of coincidences that had just befallen me. I knew that my misfortune had been a one-in-a-million occurrence. In review, I noted that the explosion aloft should not have happened. The ejection mechanism should have worked. The parachute should have opened. None of these incidents should have happened. I had just experienced three major catastrophes in one flight. My squadron had a perfect safety record. “Why was all of this happening?” was my thinking.
FIRE takes a look at what a society where hate speech is banned, but offers this as the first paragraph.
First, we must acknowledge that, in the United States, hateful speech is fully protected by the First Amendment. There’s no “hate speech versus free speech” debate raging in our nation’s judiciary. Nor is there a balancing test, an exemption, or a special constitutional provision allowing the government to prohibit it — hateful speech is categorically protected in our nation, including at public colleges and universities, and that’s not changing anytime soon.
Politicians never fail to disappoint. Trump just went down from a B to a C in my view. If my car engine gets ruined, I will send the White House the bill.
The America-First President is being positively un-American with this move.

I'm starting to see all of this turning on Weinstein, and (probably less credible) social media racism accusations against people like comedian Cross, as the Revolution eating its own. These dudes were supposed to be the ones leading the glorious liberal cause, crucifying the evil conservative enemy through their art and wit and political fundraising. They never imagined that their own shittiness would be called out by their own team.
The women will start turning in each other soon enough. Rose McGowen is in this for herself; she certainly doesn't care about other women. How long before the powers-that-be get tired of her "call-outs" and remember that she's just a has-been, attention-seeking, home-wrecking, combative loudmouth?

A silence, Wordsworth wrote, “is a privilege of the grave, a right of the departed. Let him, therefore, who infringes that right by speaking publicly of, for, or against, those who cannot speak for themselves, take heed that he opens not his mouth without a sufficient sanction.”
Others have said it less poetically: don’t speak ill of the dead.
On a somewhat related note to the #metoo hashtag, on the gay side of Facebook I'm getting messages from guys complaining that after posting about living through domestic/sexual abuse; they were harassed by feminists, the excuse from this ladies is that they men are stealing the spotlight, that October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month is only for women.

Darth, I seem to remember hearing at least once that before 1920 or so, the majority of Americans didn't have that much respect for the 1st Amendment. Can't remember the details, unfortunately. (I'd guess that anything critical of Christianity or religion in general would have been especially frowned upon, for starters.)
The cover of Amy's new book is great.

Something genuinely funny about the Weinstein awfulness.

Howard Stern calling other people "freaks"? yeah, he's probably a good judge of freakitude.
