Jerry, no sane or self respecting man would go any where near Marcotte. That leaves her with creepy beta males hanging around, telling her how down with the feminist cause they are.

There is no such thing as post-modern, sex-positive feminism. Misandry is an essential component of the third wave; any woman who defends heterosexual sex (and sometimes any sex at all) will get drummed out of the corps. If someone can invent a post-post-modern feminism, maybe that can be sex positive. Depending on how it comes out, I might even support it.

The real problem is that American feminism, as it is constructed, no longer has a reason to exist. First and second wave feminism accomplished all of their goals: women have the right to vote, full economic rights, parity (some will say supremacy) in divorce, and government protection against anything that has the effect of reducing women's representation in any area. But the first rule of organizations is that all organizations fight to continue their existence, no matter what. And so feminism has now transformed in a lobbying group for a special interest, one that seeks government-granted privileges and advantages. And in conjunction with this, feminism has transformed into a form of narcissism.

There is much work that feminism could be doing. Millions of women in the Third World are still subjugated and treated as property. And in the First World, feminism could be putting itself towards the task of advancing the cause of Western civilization. But American and European feminism views the Third World as not its problem. And because they are part of the Leftist philosophy of destruction of Westernism, they seem to actually regard the Third World oppressors as allies.

Polls show that the vast majority of women in America now no longer regard feminism as something that represents them or advances their interests. They see feminism is something that is out to get their fathers, brothers, husbands and sons, while doing nothing for them. It's simply an aspect, one among many, of the ruling class. Third-wave feminism can't seem to help itself. Like Jimmy Kimmel, whose Tonight Show audience shares are a tiny fraction of what Carson's were, they take the fanatic approach in order to hold on to the small audience of zealots that they have left. The narcissism inherent in their philosophy won't let them do anything else.
