Years ago, the Pink Rambler essay reminded my of my good life in L.A. during an extended time of challenge with family in a city far away.
Amy's visitors are reasonably diverse and no more pretentious or presumptuous than any lobby full of passersby; They're therefore intrinsically more humble than, say, a blog audience of journalists, show people, financiers, attorneys, or specialists of any kind.
Google indexes it, which is handy when quibbling with people about simmering resentments.
Amy's redheaded and stubborn, like my sister used to be... If feels like home.
Amy is a 1st Amendment enthusiast of the most reliable kind; not just in her political opinions, but even in the operation of her blog. She lets people say crazy shit here, which is very convenient.
That last one grows ever-more important and freedom of expression is challenged in the United States and essentially unheard of elsewhere.
Furthermore, apropos of zitchatini-del-nada, please remember that this is a great tune. Headphones if ya got 'em.
"Which country was the first in the world to ban government discrimination against gays in its constitution?"
Also, you'll never guess which country is doing better than the U.S. right now in vaccinating against HPV, which causes cervical cancer.
Granted, unfortunately, some of the critics in the comments may be right.

Lenona, go have a baby in Sierra Leone. If you and it survive, come back and we will talk.
Its easy to say you are committed to doing anything. Its the doing of a thing that is hard. When Americans pay vast sums of money to smugglers to get them into Sierra leone, or any country on that list, in order to get medical care, then I might agree to the possibility we have something they could teach us. Till then? Nah.

Oooh! Ooh! I know!
The one for whom that was the most pressing issue they had.
I mean, it had to be, to change their Constitution for it. Right? Every other problem came in second.
Sorry, Bub. Your emotional support chicken will need a health certificate: (Delta cracks down on passengers' emotional support animals.)

Good sarcastic tweet from Miller.
Picture from Saturday: As we were saying last week, the Hermione thing is out of control.
(Still ashamed of anyone my own age who cares about Star Wars. These are MOVIES, people. PANDERING ENTERTAINMENTS.)

Today, 21st January, is Benny Hill's birthday. He would have been 93 years old today.
