Jeff Flake wants what? I remember reading some time ago about a then 4 year old who was on the "no fly" list simply because he had the same name as an ex-bomb maker for the IRA.
Hey, forget the guns! Why aren’t Flake and the Democrats introducing legislation to immediately detain all these “terrorists?” If the watch lists are enough to convict a man, then it’s safe to assume that there are over a million violent extremists walking our streets with impunity. Because surely — surely — Flake, sainted martyr of real conservatism, a man who took an oath to “support and defend the Constitution,” isn’t arguing that we should circumvent the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Amendments for those placed on extrajudicial lists by bureaucrats? Surely he’s not arguing that simply being suspected of potentially engaging in criminal activity is now enough to preemptively deprive people of their rights? That would be downright authoritarian.
A 20-year-old is suing Dick’s Sporting Goods after being refused a Ruger .22 rifle purchase based on his age.
The plaintiff, Tyler Watson, claims he faced “Unlawful Age Discrimination.”
Watson attempted to buy the rifle “on or about February 24” at a Medford, Oregon, Field and Stream store. (Field and Stream is subsidiary of Dick’s.) Watson’s suit, filed in the Circuit Court of Oregon for the County of Jackson, says a store employee refused the purchase and indicated, “He would not sell [Watson] any firearm, including rifles and shotguns, or ammunition for a firearm, because [Watson] is under 21 years old.”
On Monday, CaliBurger started its newest "employee," a learning robot that can cook 150 hamburgers an hour. Flippy doesn't just flip hamburgers, he exposes why raising the minimum-wage hurts workers.
Flippy, built [by] Miso Robotics, uses thermal imaging to tell it precisely when to flip each patty, allowing for more or less perfect consistency. And it supposedly will get smarter the more burgers it flips, and various attachments will eventually let it handle other aspects of the burger-making process.
The fact that CaliBurger decided to use its Pasadena, Calif., restaurant to launch Flippy is instructive.
In less than three months, Pasadena's minimum wage will climb to $12 an hour for those with 25 or fewer employees, and $13.25 for those with 26 or more. Those are higher than California's current state minimum wage, which is also climbing and will hit $15 by 2022.
Time to accept reality. We don’t share a common foundation of beliefs with our enemies – yeah, feel free to explode in a fussy fireball of fauxtrage because I call the people who constantly wish for my death on social media “enemies.” You can’t have a discussion or a conversation with people whose bottom line position is that you must be gone, or at least stripped of anything like your rights and sovereignty.
In January, after a long day at his London office, Christopher Steele, the former spy turned private investigator, was stepping off a commuter train in Farnham, where he lives, when one of his two phones rang. ... Steele, who is fifty-three, looked much like the other businessmen heading home, except for the fact that he kept his phones in a Faraday bag—a pouch, of military-tested double-grade fabric, designed to block signal detection.
This is what I love about Trump, he does the exact same thing Obama did to AZ's SB1070 using the exact same legal argument and the liberals who celebrates Obamas action are horrified by the exact same action
