From the same publication Snoopy cited: It seems that pro-Palestinian students are trying to get Sabra brand hummus banned from store shelves at Swarthmore College.

Swarthmore College is a small liberal arts school near Philadelphia. The company that makes Sabra Hummus supposedly has ties to Israel, and even somehow supports a particular Israeli military unit.

Anyhow, the effort to eradicate the hummus from Swarthmore has support from the usual suspects, including the Swarthmore Queer Union, which declared that "queer and trans liberation cannot take place without Palestinian liberation as well."

I'm not sure how Palestinian "liberation" is supposed to be uplifting to the queer and trans world. I'm not sure the Swarthmore Queer Union knows, either.
