The 'Riddled' issue became a major one as cancer tests, and especially breast cancer tests, got more sensitive. Now they can find millions of benign tumors that will never cause any health problems. You don't want to operate or otherwise treat those cancers. The harm done in treatment is far more than the harm of leaving them alone. So now the problem is figuring out which are the 'bad' cancers vs. all the others.
Believe it or not Sixclaws that isn't the direction things have gone.

I don't know what you were responding to in that last comment Snoopy. Assuming it was about the stuff between me and Sixclaws I don't have any issue with his response. Monetizing things is pretty normal behavior. And the reason things didn't go the way Sixclaws though isn't because of altruistic nature or the pure goodness of humanity or anything. It is the simple fact that a few people won't take their medicine. In this case people diagnosed with cancer who then don't get treatment and then don't get sick. You only need a few of them to reveal the fraud and then the scaremongers get driven out of business.
There actually were scaremongers, though they weren't driven by greed. It was bureaucratic inertia for the most part. And when they were shown to be unquestionably wrong they got driven out of business.
Contrary to popular belief, conservatives' political attitudes are less consistent with each other and more diverse than those of liberals.

Nah, the real problem is how to scare the crap out of people in order to monetize that fear.
