We need a strong military. Otherwise we might get conquered and suffer an occupation that privileges foreigners in all jobs, education and government, denies us any control over our own affairs, extirpates our culture and heritage, hmm, uh...
We can't be surprised this didn't run in the Washington Post, can we?

…But it's impossible, of course. Consider what happened just last week when Google appeared on Capitol Hill.
Over about fifteen years, I've dumped an uncountable number of hours into Amy Alkon's blog, even though I barely know her, and didn't even meet her until about ten years in.
One reason was for being her so much was that her blog was big enough to be promptly indexed by Google, which was convenient for looking up things like Didn't I already say that? and Didn't he say something different last week?
But the bigger reason is that she has the integrity of a typical United States college girl. She doesn't tell lies. She doesn't flame out in fits of SJW-style anger. She does what she promises to do to the best of her ability. And she doesn't sell your private data... Even while expecting you to be typically savvy about your commercial experience of her website.
People on Facebook haven't done nearly as well.
Please understand— For many years, a decade AT LEAST, Zuckerberg has been abusing his website users however he wants, and then apologizing by saying "we have to do better."
Try to understand that sixty or ninety DAYS ago, within the clear memory of the Gerber eaters in your family, Sheryl Sandberg was thought to be the shimmering exemplar of 21st-Century feminism. EVERY Silicon Valley entrepreneur was asking "Where will I find my Sheryl Sandberg?"
I'm not certain she doesn't belong in prison now.

Not quite as high tech as yesterday's booby-trapped Amazon box, but probably effective.
Just as I was posting this, a friend of mine posted on Facebook that "individual school teachers are being required to attest that they will not personally boycott Israel as private citizens, even when they are not at work." I can easily see how he thought that given the media's coverage of the lawsuit, and it's yet another example of why one should never, ever trust the media take on a controversy without confirming the original sources. I do it myself sometimes, and generally regret it.
Listen, and understand! That Terminator is out there! It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear! And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you have watched all the Disney princess movies a dozen times each.

Dunno why the character selection is so narrow. Hillary took donations from people who actually do that.

First of all, TRY TO KEEP UP. As you read about this, you'll presume it's about the Facebook/Sandberg scandal that broke about twenty hours ago.
No, no, NO!
THIS is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SCANDAL!
Tweet one, and tweet two....
