We've seen worse!

We've talked about this before - but here you go: one deciding factor was that Sarah wasn't talking to Natalie when the USS Fitzgerald failed to avoid a tanker.
"OMG, she's such a bitch!" CRASH!

Well, it is her wedding. The meat-eaters should have gotten together and grilled.

Why haven't there been assault with deadly weapon or attempted murder charges been filed?

What's this "on a person over 60" stuff? Is such a violation more or less condemnable?
Hmm? Why I'm asking?
Oh, no reason, really... Just curious.

Is such a violation more or less condemnable?
In this case, probably not since it appears to me that the old man is the instigator. I'll guess it's supposed to protect feeble old folks who tell kids to get off their lawn.

Not feeble old folks who try to run you down. If the law was more along the lines of "if you beat on someone who is physically unable to defend themselves, you get more time" that would be OK. I'm pretty sure there's more than one or two 60+ers who can still kick ass.

So many people who claim to object to the Pledge of Allegiance use that line as their main objection and claim First Amendment protection. As if that line somehow give their objection to the Pledge a Constitutional foundation.
First, that line was added in the '50s to distinguish us from the "godless" Communists. It's not a government imposition of religious belief.
Second, the First Amendment promises you freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
If the guy next to you at a public function wants to pray, he's not violating your civil rights. If everyone in the room wants to join him, they're not violating your civil rights either.
Freedom of religion in this country is not a tit-for-tat thing. You don't get to have a statue of a half-naked goat-man put on the courthouse lawn just because someone once had the Ten Commandments posted there.
The Ten Commandments were at least the basis of a historically recognized system of laws. Your goat-man is just a goat-man; nothing more than a temper tantrum writ large.
