The graphic illustrating the differences sure doesn't show a 20% pay difference, but a 3x pay difference.
Different achievement motivations also affect choice of major and career, an early dividing line. I also know women who take into account whether the job will allow them to take a break and come back or be flexible because in the back of their mind (but not if you ask them) they are thinking about having kids someday. In competitive professions this is not so easy.

Anybody who is surprised, shouldn't be. However, I would go further. Putting it in the terms of the original tweet: Men built the modern world so that it would be possible for pussy to thrive, thereby increasing the supply.
