A thing I recommend as a gift -- possibly a gift for yourself!

It's this incredible snail face cream I've been using -- a Seoul-aceutical. Of course, being me, it's the $16ish version of the $80 or $90 cream everybody else wears, but with the same active ingredients in the same amount. And in a nice jar, too, and not a tiny one, either!

Makes my skin feel like velvet, and people I haven't seen for a while keep saying, "How come your face has no lines?" Okay, French sunblock is part of it, but this stuff seems to do something that fills out your skin in a nice way and disappears some of the big ridges you'd otherwise have when you are no longer 22!

And a thing you might try -- cheap, liking it myself: Resistance bands for working out. $6.99 and up. Strength training without weights, plus a stretching aid. (I'm working on easing really bad thumb pain.) Surgery, as I know from Catherine Jakobsen Ramin's excellent book, Crooked: Outwitting the Back Pain Industry and Getting on the Road to Recovery, is probably (and thankfully) not the answer.

Day two of resistance bands: Thankfully, they seem to be helping. Major decrease in thumb pain.
