I'd say someone deserves some prison time for this.
But according to the settlement, a city employee first notified the city of ineligible claims in 2014. The deputy commissioner of DOT, who signed the certification stating Sandy caused the damage, was informed by the employee in a June 2014 email that some of those vehicles had been "junk for years." That employee said that DOT itself had told New York Police Department in 2009 that the paving machines had been "sitting under the highway in the dump for seven years and were being pick[ed] apart by vandals," the complaint said.
Even after receiving that email, the city continued to seek reimbursement from FEMA for those vehicles.
Only after the city became aware of the U.S. Attorney's investigation did it amend its request, offering to return more than $3 million for seven paving vehicles it had erroneously included in its first reimbursement request, according to the settlement.
And now, for something completely different, it seems that a newly-discovered fossil in what is now the United States shows a smaller relative of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a meter tall at the hip.

Jussie Smollett surrendered to authorities today.
I hope he serves time in prison. Then he'll get the footlong he wanted. Hard salami, extra mayo.
Yeah, I told a rape joke. Wanna make something of it?

This is a re-comment of two favorite tweets, because you didn't give them enough attention the first time.

If you can stand one more link about Smollett, it seems that he revealed to the Chicago Police Department that he started this hoax because he was unsatisfied with his salary.
Nice, huh? Inflame racial tensions, demonize Trump supporters, all because he (or his agent) didn't have the guts to negotiate for more money.
Fuck you, Jussie.
Really.
Honest.

Whoops. I broke the link again. We'll try again.

Nope. It's about you, as you desire. You're one of the cool kids, because you tweet.
