It’s almost as if someone said “No one has less knowledge of science, a higher opinion of himself, and a bigger carbon footprint than Al Gore” and Kerry replies “hold my champagne, I’m going to testify as a climate change expert.”

The comment section on that MMT article says all you need to know about MMT. I don't think I saw a single comment that actually offered a real defense of MMT. Instead you get one of two categories,
1 - That isn't MMT. I won't say what MMT is but that isn't it so your argument is invalid.
2 - You just don't understand MMT. (I certainly won't explain it but you are wrong so there!)
Which is very similar to the 'True Communism has never failed. It just has never been implemented right.' arguments.
My biggest annoyance with all of this is McConnell and Ryan have made it clear they have no issue with vast spending increases. They see no reason live within their means. At least McConnell has been honest about that. Ryan has talked about sound fiscal policy. Written quite a bit about it. But his actions make it clear those were just words and not intended to be considered serious.

Centralized clearinghouses, as far as the eye can see!! No time for college!
And Crid joins in as an MMT expert. Can't take the time to actually make an argument. Just 'You don't understand man!'
On an interesting sidebar since Crid brought bitcoin up yet again, bitcoin really needs a bit-credit card if it ever wants to get out of the niche gold bug market. Each transaction with bitcoin has a fixed minimum cost in both time and energy (i.e. money). Especially the time cost makes small transactions with bitcoin untenable. Buying a candy bar at a supermarket would take over half an hour and the transaction costs would be more than the candy bar is worth. This strongly discourages it's use for small transactions which results in it's 'investment' reputation. Exchanging $1,000 and $1 have the same costs. There isn't really a per unit cost here. So having a third party credit guaranteer who would gather all those small transactions up at a reduced cost and enter them into the system at the end of the month would open the bitcoin system up to a wider range of goods and services.

1. Ludicrous economics fantasy.
2. Bogus deployment of single-quotes.
3. Erroneous apostrophe in "it's."

Once again you have no argument, only teenage snark. If you actually have something you want to say by all means say it. Support your claims. Provide an argument beyond 'Did you ever kiss a girl?' But I won't hold my breath waiting. Your urge to troll is strong. Unfortunately it does little to convince people.

You're not a finance sophisticate. People can tell.
"Support your claims" is a strange assignment from a guy who established his presence with bogus accusations, but when pressed for citation, resented being asked to "do my homework."
The internet is crawling with people who feign expertise. After all these years, their tears still sparkle in sunlight.

So once again, you've got nothing. Insults, snark, but nothing of substance. Come on Crid. It isn't that hard to actually make an argument or present some facts instead of lobbing insults. I mean how much more homework do I need other than this conversation to prove you are a troll?
If you want to say something of substance I'm all ears.
