2. They didn't follow the protocol. I've only used Uber once or twice, but have used Lyft dozens of times. Riders are protected upon summoning a car by a notification which includes the make, model and color of the car, as well as a (freaking) picture of the driver.

To complain that Uber didn't protect them is like complaining that a seat belt didn't keep you snug in your seat when you didn't bother to put it on.
