Our snowflaketators have struck again. Because one person demanded it, Macy's pulled a collection of dinner plates.

Don't really think much about lipstick on a glass rim until I'm the one doing the dishes. Then, it's more annoying than anything else. But my wife likes lipstick and I like my wife, so that settles it.

@Patrick - I hated Macy's before, mostly because their stores are always a disgusting mess. Hate them even more now for caving to 1 person.

I stopped shopping at Macy's when they changed their shirt sizing inventory. when I buy an off-the-rack dress shirt I buy it in a 34" sleeve. My actual sleeve is 33.5" and this allows for some shrinkage. Macy's switched to 32-33 (32.5") and 34-35 (34.5") shirts. No 33.5" sleeves. Bye bye Macy's.
They did it to cut down on inventory costs, but since I can get a nice dress shirt in my size at Brooks Brothers or any number of online custom shirt makers, I'm not going to put up with Macy's one-size-fits-all cost-cutting.
That, and they took over Marshall Fields and then renamed it.

If he cares about the lipstick stains on the glass, she might be barking at the wrong tree.

As for the lipstick: If she's going to be transferring it, I'd prefer that she did so directly to my lips...

Lenona, a bit of backstory on Doug Jones and Roy Moore. When Jeff Sessions gave up his Senate seat to become Attorney General, a special election was called. On the GOP side, there were three major candidates: Mo Brooks, a center-right representative for a north Alabama district (the one I happen to live in) in the House of Representatives; Luther Strange, the Alabama attorney general, and Roy Moore. Moore has a reputation in Alabama, and many voters regarded him as a piece of work. On the Democrat side, Doug Jones was running without serious opposition in an election where the state Democrats appeared to have little chance.
Brooks was the GOP favorite coming in. But for some reason Trump and Mitch McConnell chose Strange as the "pro-Trump" candidate. In the primary, they directed substantial amounts of PAC money into anti-Brooks advertising. Brooks wasn't able to marshal the funding to combat the ads, which wound up being very effective. Brooks finished third in the three-way primary.
But after the primary, a lot of voters become aware of the amount of Washington influence that went into the election, and it caused a lot of GOP votes to swing away from Strange. They would up stuck with Moore, as the only other candidate remaining. Moore won the runoff in a close election.
In the general election, Jones gained a bunch of votes from voters who either couldn't stomach Moore, or were disgusted with the process that had resulted in Moore winning the primary. It was pretty close, but Jones won. The interesting bit was that the margin of victory was less than the number of write-in votes cast, which by state law triggered a hand count of the write-ins, something that doesn't usually occur. Brooks had several thousand write-in votes (as did University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban, go figure).
The special election was only to fill Sessions's remaining term, which ends in 2020, so there will be another election next year. The Club for Growth ran a poll back in March which showed Brooks having a 20-point margin over Moore in the GOP primary. They didn't poll against Jones, but the consensus around the state seems to be that Brooks would probably win. Although he remains popular, he was diagnosed with cancer right after the 2018 election, and it's not clear if he will run.

"Question: Do men think their female date's lipstick mark on a glass is sexy or disgusting or neither?"
Doesn't this depend on the size of the mark?
I definitely don't want to think someone was killed by that highball glass, or that Kermit the Frog was tipping it. It needs to remind me of those lips!
