I read somewhere that Epstein was no longer on suicide watch when he killed himself. Maybe that was the conspiracy - that the people who feared what he might reveal simply took him off suicide watch and let nature take its course.

No; I'm suggesting that human nature brings distinctions (and problems) in behavior that are not diminished (or ameliorated) by talking.

If you want to insist that parents (distant from you socially and geographically) say this or that specific thing to a kid to compel an outcome, give us a shot.

It less an appetite for Trump as much as an appetite to ditch the rule of the 'sophisticates' and their laundry list of failure. Trump just happens to be the only one who fits that bill. Everyone else is a member of that club, or desires to be a member.

Actually, neither. It's that the nation has catered to people crying "Me! Me! Me FIRST!" for so long. It's put fences on schoolyards, prosecuted people for having "attractive nuisances" lest someone be injured in their own stupidity, etc.
