Did the research part. Interesting test. The shapes ended up hurting my head. I had a bit of an advantage in short term memory test, as more than a few of the icons used are associated with open source software projects I am familiar with: SuSe, Redhat, and Inkscape.
A little surprised my verbal score was as high as it was.

You can put my score down as 'potato' if you like.

Here's a test that actually has a field application.
You have a 55-gallon drum standing on its end that has 30 gallons in it. You're going to use it for a fuel tank, and mount it on its side. It has a bung on the side as well as two on the top.
How many inches deep does the dipstick go? (It's really a PITA.)

For those Libertarians with a boner for oriental things:
Ya know how when you kidnap someone and burn them with a blowtorch and cut off their penis and dump them on the side of the road how you can get in trouble for 'inflicting great bodily injury' on your victim?
There's an old saying in tech: eat your own dog food. This isn't an example.

Not if you have an Orange County jury, you don't.

Sixclaws: Is it just me, or does the guy at the left wearing a helmet liner remind you of Dukakis posing in a tank back in 1988?
