Joe Biden’s younger brother told potential business partners that the former vice president would help their firm land business with court systems and would incorporate their health care model into his 2020 presidential campaign, according to new allegations made in a court filing in Tennessee.

Further down the list I found other, more unsettling revelations about what Google knows about me. It turns out Google has info connecting me to my grandma (on my dad’s side) who’s alive and well but has never had the internet, and my grandpa (on my mom’s side), who recently passed away in March 2019 and also never had the internet.

Now imagine lady judge's reaction if the Reason website ever dares to cover this case of government abuse.

One such post read: “Time to speak up about my personal experience of corruption in in Macomb County FOC. The shady game Judge Rachel Rancilio & Mary Duross (14 yr vet of FOC) played with the life of my son.”
According to ABC affiliate WXYZ, Rancilio contacted authorities after she saw the posts and felt threatened. Investigators from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office looked into the offending posts and found no evidence that Vanderhagen had made any threats, according to court documents.

That didn’t stop officials from charging Vanderhagen with malicious use of telecommunications services in July and letting him out on bond. But he continued to criticize Rancilio on social media after his release.

Quillette quoted Hitchens with this precise wording a couple weeks ago, and now I can't find it from anything like an authoritative source. But he made the same point with any number of phrasings in books and speeches that I remember clearly.

"This is an all-out confrontation between the literal and the ironic mind."

This passage has come to mind about a hundred times in recent days, with my allegiance in the wind against rhetors from every direction, INCLUDING PEOPLE ON THIS BLOG.

I don't care how put-upon you've been in your life. I don't care if your stepdaddy never loved you, or that woman on CNN is full of shit, or if Hillary makes you so mad that sometimes you could just spit. You were wrongly imprisoned for years, or you're a minority of some kind, or you've merely chosen butthurt as a way of life:

IT DOES NOT MATTER. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE THE THINGS THAT MEAN THE MOST TO YOU, OR THE THINGS THAT ARE MOST CHALLENGING TO YOU, BE LITERALLY AND SIMPLISTICALLY TRUE (AND/OR COMPREHENSIBLE).

Get over yourself, grow up, etc.

Umm. Yes, they did. They just never knew it.

Court records, including birth and death certificates, Multiple Listing Service, phone company, geneological records courtesy of the LDS, police arrest records (even if you *think* they were expunged)... the DMV.

And then your relatives cannot STOP themselves from talking endlessly about those good old days on Twitter and Facebook.

The State wants desperately to know who you are so as to collect taxes and make sure you behave.
