I'd get hornier about Burning Man if they held it at a Sheraton or Hyatt Regency or Quality Inn. Near a large airport by an Interstate.

That is fuckin' amazing. It's very hard to smirk about American exceptionalism and the Indispensable Nation in such moments.

Oh, most Hong Kongers protesting are covering their faces, not to get away with crimes like antifa, but, to keep China from using the cameras on the streets to capture their faces and later arrest them simply for speaking up.

Oh, go ahead and follow through on your thought:
I think that's a fine metaphor, offering a hopeful premise.Crid at September 8, 2019 7:57 AM
Millennials are five times more likely than Boomers to lie on their resumes.
I caught a few of these when I was interviewing candidates for a new financial analyst position.
Me: Rate yourself from 1-10 on your ability to use Microsoft Excel with 1 being you've barely heard of it and 10 being you wrote the program.
Candidate: "Oh, I'm an 8 or a 9. I'm really good.
Me: Tell me about some models you've built, some functions you've used, or some formulas you've written. Tell me about macros.
Candidate: [crickets]
The thing is, that wasn't actually a lie. Those candidates really did think they excelled at Excel. They'd never seen any higher functions or complex formulae, so being able to enter data and sum columns was, to them, the height of expertise, especially when compared with coworkers or classmates who could not do even that. The ones that had used pivot tables really thought they were something special.
It was Dunning-Kruger on full display. They'd learned a little more than their compatriots, so they thought they'd learned it all.
I think that sometimes people who are lying on their resumes or in interviews don't think of it as lying. They're covering gaps or trying to make themselves sound like the expert the interviewer is looking for. And the interviewer isn't helping when he's looking for a new college graduate with 5 years experience in 2-year-old technology.

So, I imagine, would lots of people over the age of 30. But lighting a 12-foot high wooden structure on fire in a hotel lobby is frowned upon by most municipal fire codes.

Pussies, SafespaceLibtards, I-thought-this-was-Amer… etc.
Meanwhile in Bavaria, this is (as noted in the link) perhaps not the best imaginable application of this remarkable 21st century technology.

Yeah, I've seen that pattern as well.

Yes, and starting at $61,000 with shabby bennies.

Typo. That was supposed to be post-dOc, like postgrad, like I can't afford a new laptop because of me school loans.
We're all dic'd.

The people advocating socialism don't think this will be their only car choice under socialism. As Camille Paglia pointed out in an artilce inked in an earlier thread, the country's socialism advocates think the capitalist-created Hondas and Volkswagens extant today will continue to exist under socialism; and that the safety and performance improvements happening today will continue under socialism as well. And that all workers will be able to afford them, even those workers who choose not to work.

Further down in that post, a link to vegans segregating roosters from hens to prevent rape. I guess they've never seen hens and their rooster getting jiggy with it. Loud, noisy, looks violent, and is over in 30 seconds. But the hen assumes the position, so isn't that consent?
