A monopolist that sells a high-margin product (beverages) cannot turn a profit despite being able to set the prices.

I would only caution that is a self report survey. Not a measurement of actual actions, IRA. Years ago OK Cupid did an actual analysis of who women on that service actually responded to. They found ethnicity definitely mattered.
