Linkmanity
Just got stopped by two bros asking where there was a McDonald's.

Turns out they had been heading to the @snailmusic show, but saw a hungry homeless man outside the venue. They put their night on hold to walk a mile roundtrip to get him food first.
Sometimes people are awesome.

And he will never be hungry again!

Hey Rad, don't forget that as the saying goes, "Pick out a man's tie and you have dressed him for the day. Teach a man to accessorize and you have dressed him for a lifetime."

Black man stabs five Jews during their Hanukah celebration, Rabbi blames the government.
Not racism or religious nuttery, though.
That would be inconceivable.

From Gog's link:
That seems...excessive. Why not bite the bullet and deny bail at all?

There are a lot of things on this list that seem suspiciously like BAU.
As if people hated Hillary more than what she stood for.

I can understand someone's being too afraid to rescue the poor, dimwitted dog.
I cannot understand why someone would want to film the inevitable. Disgusting.

Perhaps conservative men should be required to nail a lithe, winsome, overly-cosmetic'd blond before their 23th birthday. I've never understood why all these entirely unremarkable women keep turning up on Fox(-ish) TV, and maybe something ought to be done to constrain the obsession.
One in particular is unfathomably beloved; but this seems like as good a use for her mysterious media superpowers as any.
Crid at December 29, 2019 1:09 PM
@Lenona,
Chances are that they were thinking of filming another episode of the Brave Little Puppy. Even if -and this is a big if- they had succeeded in rescuing the little dog; the thing about these tiny breeds is that they never learn from their mistakes and it would still become a crocodile snack on a later date.

Growing up in Florida, I was always taught that alligators like to eat dogs and to keep your dogs, even large ones, away from alligators.
Perhaps an old wives' tale, but one that could have saved this dog.

The 1970s wasn't just super-hip disco hits and tantalizing polyester clothing with gigantic lapels.
It was also cars like this beauty.

Growing up in Florida, I learned the reason all of those guys out in their airboats on the St. Johns River carried a dog:
If the boat conks out and you can't fix it, throw puppers overboard. If he makes it to shore, so can you!
(Yet another reason to listen to the ecologists, and never let your domestic animal run loose.)

The St. Johns River, eh? I lived in Jacksonville from 5th grade to high school and through my first post-college job.

Lived in Jax '87 - '89. Hated my life, loved the city. Will never forget the first dawn swim in the Pacific or the Hollandaise in San Marco

My sister had the two door version of that car.
She was family so it was cool

And by the Pacific I meant the Atlantic, but that comment was typed in an airport while waiting to fly West, so it actually makes perfect sense.

Lived in a small apartment in San Marco in the early '90s; around the corner from the square. Great area.
The list of notable alumni for Lee includes Hoyt Axton and members of .38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The alumni list, however, does not include me. I attended a high school in another part of town.
