Forget all the other animated Xmas stories - this is a real tale of redemption for our times:

But did the water bottle apologize?
Unrelated, but this is an excellent point. I will definitely have to take up drinking

Yes.
The world has indeed gone insane.

Yes the world has indeed gone insane.
And if a single use plastic bottle ban were to be put in place, the call-out culture people would be the first to decry it as ablist. (See plastic straws)

And now you all know why Jason Momoa barely talks in his movies/TV series.

Do not go to the Elves for advice. For they will say both "yes" and "no".

This happened in Ft. Myers, FL. By FloridaMan standards, this is called "Tuesday".

Funny thing about this odd turn of phrase. It's always on a Tuesday. If people keep using Tuesday as an expression for describing the bizarre as commonplace, future generations will be wondering, "How come, back then, the weird things only happened on Tuesdays?"

If this is accurate and can be proven, he should get paid.

Yeah.
It's weird that there's a wave of genuine, scientifically-quantifiable cross-generational estrangement happening in the very years that I am, in fact, turning into a coot.
It becomes ever-more difficult to remember that almost all of this piss-mongering is about things that are not real. I come by my cussedness the old-fashioned way!: Gum disease, grey hair, and punishing terror at the prospect of onrushing oblivion.
But social media has taught ALL the generations to be assholes now.
In this clip, Haidt tries to expand his broad insights on these trends. I'm not sure he succeeds, but it's great that he's not coasting just because last year's book tour is over.
