Either I'd forgotten or never knew the details of the rape accusation against Kobe years ago, and they are really bad.
We have to wonder how that woman, not yet middle-aged, feels about all the adoration being expressed for that man this week.

On the other hand...
Gordon Hayward swears upon bibles tonight that he didn't mean to step into the lane.
One might be tempted to forgive a tiny and ultimately inconsequential lie.
I've done some bad things and made some bad choices. If either before or after —or maybe even during— my funeral, someone wants to stand up and list my sins, why not?
Kobe tributes are out of control, but there's something about this one that's NOT cloying and maudlin... One of the few in which the source doesn't seem to be trying to bask in reflected valor.

From yesterday, but the Goddess server wouldn't let me post it for some reason.
While I didn't find every detail convincing - after all, yes, even young immigrants in the U.S. get old and retire, but so do American-born babies, eventually - it's still a refreshing article. That is, it does NOT bitterly complain about childfree people or even about middle-class couples who might want children but prefer childlessness to having to move to dangerous, cheap neighborhoods - and/or not being able to send their kids to college.
No, it dares to hint, at least, that politicians need to take more responsibility to find ways to help those who WANT children.
Excerpt, from the last third:
"Trying to nudge extremely burdensome and emotionally significant personal and family decisions that are integral to people's sense of their identity and meaning in the world, in order to make the national GDP marginally higher in 30 years, is absurd and, if we're being honest, kind of gross."

"[The New York Times is] excited to announce that Ben Smith, a relentless innovator who helped change the shape of modern journalism [by greenlighting the publication of the faked-up Steele dossier], will become our media columnist,"
As it turns out, these abortion survivor's bills may be redundant. Medical ethics apparently requires doctors to save babies who survive abortion, at least in most cases, anyhow.
I took a peek at the "Agenda Free" TV clip for the 28th, but it's 4 hours long. 4 hours of some guy barking out stats is simply undoable.
However, my point in posting these threads is that there are links from other sources in the replies that might actually be more informative in a much more brief time. I'm basically posting the threads because of such links and other replies, rather than the "Agenda Free" TV clips.

Pet, the animated notations on that map are scale-invatiate. It's useless for anything but scaring rubes.
