From The Guardian in 2004, another prediction of imminent climate disaster crashes on the hard rock of reality:

Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..

A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a "Siberian" climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.

"...as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020." And now these same people are telling us we have 12 years until the slide to doomsday cannot be reversed; and that only by putting them in power do we stand a chance at survival.

Notice that the report predicting doom was a "secret" report that some intrepid journalists obtained. "They" didn't want you to know, but these journalists would not be deterred from seeking "the truth."

Like the intrepid rebels obtaining the secret plans to the Death Star, this is all a fantasy movie to them.

Everything is totally OK. You can drive everywhere in your Turbo Dually because you will never run out of fuel, and it is your birthright. The smog in LA back in the 60s was a hoax; nobody was affected; it was just a ploy to make money for the California Air Resources Board. Since volcanoes emit gases, we can, too, and it won't hurt anybody or anything. You don't need to learn about anything at all because there is nothing to learn.

And don't feel bad that "conservatives" don't seem to conserve anything. Pass the burgers, the bowl game is on.

I would love to conserve fuel usage in my daily commute, Radwaste, but the county where I work, Montgomery County, Maryland, is run by crazy people who would rather let MS-13 gang members out on bail rather than hold them for ICE.

Don't get me wrong, I do NOT like the traffic in the evenings, infested with idiots and slowpokes, but the walking feral fleabags in Montgomery County make both living closer in and using public transit, while otherwise ideal, quite problematic.

So I will continue to commute in my car 36 miles each way between work and home for the time being, than you very much.
