It's fun not knowing who that is. Being old is great!
Over the weekend I listened to a bunch of presentations by a respected music engineer. He's a few years older and was operating a higher level of tech than I did. But it was fun to comprehend everything he was talking about, and easy to envy his experience of his career… Especially as the microprocessor blossomed under his (our) our fingertips.
But being intimately close to the last three decades of pop music? Couldn't care less.
ALL these acts were poseurs, right? It was show business. Appearances were the entirity of their work. The Stones can sell tickets for prices like that, so why shouldn't these guys?
Otherwise, they'd have been Pat Metheny or someone like that.

Dating's tough these days. It's even tougher when you're a mentally unbalanced, self-righteous pain in the ass.

The next tweet says, preciously— Guys, I’m not saying he deserves to die.
If those words pass your lips, set down your drink, pick up your coat, and leave.
Hitchens gave the best description of this century: "This is an all-out confrontation between the literal and the ironic mind."
It's been AMAZING to see how many people are unable to consider ironic, subtly contradictory forces and details. They presume that life should be simple when rules are follwed. If you know better, they'll be unable to comprehend your thinking. To them you'll be a creature who suddenly appeared from the forth dimension: All at once you stand before them, without a door, without an approach and without a sound.
But social media has also proven that a lot of everyday Americans, like this zookeeper (which may be a clue), essentially have no theory of mind... They're psycho-pathological. When someone disagrees with them, even a race car driver they've never heard of, they assume that person isn't even human, and is incapable of suffering.
This is troubling but important information about the people we see moving quietly on the street.

About time. After all, if any state allows 15-year-olds to join the MILITARY, with parental permission, I have yet to hear of it.
(I just wish the article didn't have such a misleading headline...)
Besides, don't parents CARE about the fact that, as any doctor will tell you, teen pregnancy is a serious threat to the girl's health?

In an hour of burgeoning global pandemic, what could possibly go wrong?
Nothing… Nothing could go wrong.

I've always regarded these guys as poseurs, a trendy creation of the L.A. music industry.
