The idea of LiFi is to use optical communications—the backbone of data transmission on the Internet and telecommunications networks—in situations that normally rely on radio frequency transmissions, such as WiFi. One idea is to place LiFi routers on ceilings and use the light from LEDs to beam data around a room at rates of 100 gigabits per second, much faster than WiFi can achieve. The concept hasn’t really penetrated the market, although an Edinburgh-based startup, Pure LiFi, and CEA-Leti, a research institute in Grenoble, France, have demonstrated systems.
AT&T has invested a hunnert gazillion dolahrissimós into 5G to little effect.
Remind me again, why do we need higher speeds?

Cecilia Jastrzembska, UK reality TV star, arrested in Maldives for wearing a bikini
Chaser:
Cecilia Jastrzembska was arrested after strolling past a mosque and a school on Maafushi, an island in the Maldives where it is illegal to wear bikinis except on designated beaches because of strict Muslim Sharia laws, the Sun of the UK reported.
For self-driving cars? I've read that's one need. More speed, higher bandwidth, more data for the vehicles.
For your phone, probably not so much, tho it will help if you want to stream videos. Not that there's 5g near me, or that I have a 5g device. And unless it's a youtube vid that I want to watch in the comfort of my bed, I'd prefer a bigger screen.
And AT&T/Verizon/SprinTmobile can charge you more money.
"Nor do the files deal with obvious ethical dilemmas at the core of the operation: the deception and exploitation of adversaries, allies and hundreds of unwitting Crypto employees. Many traveled the world selling or servicing rigged systems with no clue that they were doing so at risk to their own safety."

Jeez, Crid, I just read that. Now I want to know: if the CIA had all that intel, why weren't they a lot more effective? Why didn't the Army troops at Desert One know where the hostages were in Tehran? Why didn't West Germany's military know about the West Berlin disco bombing in time to stop it? Why didn't Great Britain know that the Argentinian forces in the Falklands have Excocet missiles? Why didn't we have more reliable information about what WMD's Saddam Hussein did or didn't possess?
Goodnight, Mr. Mays, and thank you so much.
Not the beginning, but an early triumph.
Okay, here's another, but basically everything with the Group for more than a quarter of a century. This could go on for a very long time.
This one really hurts.
