This story is a couple of days old, and perhaps I missed it, but I didn't see it here, so I'm sharing it now.

I really don't see any debate here whatsoever. The woman purchased a seat that reclines. She reclined. The passenger behind her wouldn't stop punching her seat.

The airline threatened to have the woman removed from the plane, and gave the assailant a complimentary drink. She is already planning to sue him. She should also sue American Airlines.

The argument I see is that it's supposedly rude to recline your seat. No, it isn't. The airline provides seat that recline, they have no rules against reclining. There is nothing wrong with using a functionality of the seat you paid for.

Before anyone says that you should put the seat in an upright position while someone is eating, she did. She resumed reclining when he finished.

I wonder which government employee sent the phishing email? maybe the one who clicked on it? nice way to get plausible deniability. I hoodwinked myself into giving myself the government's money.
