I bet it's way more than 55% who can handle this.

The fellow cited in the tweet is named Shawn Marshall Myers, and is being held without bond. The morning sports talk radio guys were talking about him this morning. Apparently, Myers and another guy were charged in the murder of one of the radio station's interns a few years ago. Myers got five years of probation. The other guy got life in prison. The Baltimore Sun has the rundown.

This is so tone deaf. Except for the unionized truckers in Puerto Rico. Those are scumbags of the highest order.

So you're saying, you won't allow yourself to be tested because it might be unpleasant?

Good.

Yep. Pretty sure it's a violation of the Geneva Convention as well.

As he stumbled while climbing aboard the short bus for the long ride home, Ben asked me to post two things:
• This primer on the benefits of masks—
• This list of dozens of papers affirming the utility of homemade masks:
BennyBunny has an ouchy and might not be in class tomorrow. (Diagnosed with moderate to severe Butthurt: Ointment, bedrest, humility have been prescribed.)

Not sure how I feel about this. Remember when asking people for der paperz was racist? ah, the good old days, back in December. But it might be nice if they self-quarantined for two weeks. Unless they came from a small town in upstate, maybe.

Damn Crid, why do you keep linking things that prove me right?
But hey, you apparently think a possible 0.3% reduction in infection rate is 'significant' or 'dramatic'. Instead I agree with the papers you linked here and earlier. Your mask protects me from you. My mask protects you from me. Masks on infected people have a much more significant effect in preventing the spread of respiratory diseases. And in that situation the masks don't need to be that good. Yes, t-shirts or as I mentioned this morning a handkerchief work very well.
So sorry Crid. No butthurt. Just a lot of amusement.
