An interesting piece in The Week about how we tend to delegitimize votes for the "wrong" candidate and refuse to accept the results of the election as legitimate if the "wrong" guy wins.
Beginning as we do from such premises, it should be no surprise that none of us are prepared to “accept” any political outcomes that we find objectionable. So far from subverting our democracy, disregarding the results of our elections has become one of the most reliable norms in American politics.

I for one can't wait until someone makes picture album of the chaos happening from the CHAZ zone.
So you might say that smug Trump voters traded the future of Western Civ for three years of tawdry, titillating tweets. They brought nothing else to the table and will carry nothing else away.

What would MeeMaw Hillary be doing?
In some sense, she's not the hard core progressive ideologue that others might be, and it might not be so bad. But for a small donation to MeeMaw's retirement fund, she could be persuaded to look the other way while those others are drafting policy and writing executive orders for her signature.
We'd be totally Xi's bitch. And handing over buckets of money to the Iranian Mullahs.

The Xi lock down + work at home + California's rolling blackouts when needed present a big challenge to working at home.
If utilities cut power again, home offices set up during the pandemic could go dark and stay dark for days, and they’ll have no corporate offices to flee to for power. In October 2019, more than 3 million people were affected by a series of rolling blackouts over more than a week as PG&E Corp. and Edison International tried to prevent live wires from sparking wildfires.
Call it a collision of crises. Blackouts could limit California’s push to revive an economy largely paralyzed by stay-at-home orders this spring. The state, utilities and individual companies are all seeking ways to deal with blackouts before a wildfire season forecast to be worse than normal. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co., for one, has “long contemplated this type of scenario,” according to spokesman Adam Bauer.

It would be no less amusing, and no less demonstrative of the unprincipled fanaticism of his supporters, if it were Trump who couldn't make it to November rather than the similarly doddering Biden.
Fuhahahaha, this is the first thought that popped in my mind after reading this piece by the NY Post:

It's turning out to be something much bigger than the Rainfurrest mess that happened five years ago.
