The far-left took control of six blocks of Seattle, declared it separate from the United States, and the first thing they do is create strict borders to keep specific people out.
Considering her past as pro police state it would have gotten interesting right now if Kamala instead of Biden was the chosen one to go up against Trump.
She needs to be grounded and cut off from internet access outside of schoolwork for about a month.

If they want to be a separate country, let them. Establish a border and guard it. Require passports to enter the US from CHAZ. If they want food, let them trade for it. Force them to be self-sufficient and make them actually be autonomous. They'll be begging for readmission to the union without a fortnight.
Let them to make laws and establish a society. They won't be able to. It's all singing, chanting, speechifying right now. But when it's time to eat, it's donated food. Force those donations to comply with export laws and see how long that keeps up.

The comments on that one are a special kind of stupid.
And since the family got doxxed on the comments, I'm betting the house gets picketed and firebombed within the week.
The girl's "they haven't had the same privileges you have" assumes all African-Americans are poor and underprivileged. Are you telling me the children of Quincy Jones, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, et al are underprivileged and devoid of economic opportunity? That somehow, the color of my skin makes me better off than they are?
Deer lord. I knew the zoomies were a special bunch, but this one must have suffered severe turbulence one time too many. Let's start with xer house and go from there.
A leading Democratic candidate in a closely watched House race brushed off looting and arson that occurred during nationwide unrest during protests about racism and police brutality sparked by the death of George Floyd.
“What the hell you got snipers on the roof for in a peaceful march? Even if people loot, so what? Burn it to the ground, you know, if that’s what it’s going to take to fix our nation,” retired Air Force Col. Kim Olson said during a live digital event on Tuesday, shown in a clip obtained by the Washington Examiner.
The girl's "they haven't had the same privileges you have" assumes all African-Americans are poor and underprivileged.
And that all whites are privileged. So, the illegitimate crack baby born to a single mother who does "sex work" to pay for her addiction is privileged over a two-parent black child raised in a loving, supportive home?
It's one of the things that annoys me about the girl's argumentation. She sees no need to prove her points, only make them.
Without even seeing the mother's statistics, she says, "Statistics can be warped!" And she seems to feel she's defeated the argument before she's even heard it.
Black Lives Matter also employs statistics on their website. Do we also dismiss those out of hand or is it only one side with statistics that "can be warped."

Raz Simone, a Seattle local, stated he belongs to the “People’s Force,” a replacement for Seattle PD in #FreeCapitolHill. On June 8th in a live video he advised that unfamiliar faces should be stopped, questioned, and checked to see if they’re armed, similar to “Stop and Frisk.”
It's one of the things that annoys me about the girl's argumentation. She sees no need to prove her points, only make them. ~ Patrick at June 11, 2020 10:19 AM
It's an adolescent's argument style. She feels her argument more than she knows it. And, by virtue of that emotional urgency, she feels that her argument is valid; more valid, in fact, than any that could be presented against it.
Like a toddler screaming "it's not fair!" when told he has to go to bed but his older brother does not.

Does anyone want to compare the list to Amazon's or some other industry source? I don't know enough about publishing to investigate.
But the NYT BS list has always been a work of fiction: Time and again in my lifetime, Christian titles have been the fastest movers in the United States, but the Times disregards them 'categorically.' Here's what I know about them: They've been famous for fifteen-ish years. The name was one of our culture's more-audible dog whistles, and the music was no fun to listen to either. They appeared to be famous because the girl singer was sorta good-looking, in a Peter, Paul & Mary style kind of way, and the joke was that by the time their second album reached the charts, the three of them had synchronized menstruation.
To say they'd not taken the implication of their name "into consideration" is laughable.

As for the Feds, there's that pesky 10th amendment.
Why don't they turn off the water & power?
See above. Contrast that against Garcetti threatening to cut off those services to businesses reopening without his permission. Yes, Garcetti is LA's mayor, but isn't that likely to be the same answer in Seattle?
Why haven't local business owners appeared in court demanding protection of their selves and assets?
Because they don't want what's left of their property being "liberated" and then "torched". And they don't want to risk their and their family's lives. What court in that lucky city would rule against the thu...hooli...citizens of the CHAZ?

I think it hilarious that these pretend revolutionaries set up a border checkpoint first thing and then complain they are being robbed --in Seattle autonomous zone they invited the homeless in for a meal and the homeless stole all the food as they left. The police came and took back the city barricades. What happened to that open borders talk?
Back in the late 70s I visited several communes. In one case some of the people had an insurance settlement that kept the place going. One was supported by a rock band. One supported by drugs. You may not pay much attention to the Poetry Foundation, possibly because you are under the impression that, as the modesty of its name and goals imply, it is a struggling little outfit. Perhaps you picture a staff of a few miserable editors working in some backroom in threadbare cardigans, warming their hands over the only heat they can afford, which is generated by setting fire to their own rejected manuscripts. The Poetry Foundation is, however, more like the Palace of Versailles of cultural nonprofits. Its endowment is fat with a quarter of a billion dollars of assets, according to the New York Times, thanks to the generosity of the late pharmaceutical heiress Ruth Lilly, who gave the Chicago foundation $100 million in 2002 before her death in 2009. Those who would like to transfer this fortune from the Poetry Foundation to their own bank accounts are using the favored tool of the day, which is to issue a thundering race-based denunciation. As usual, this tactic is working well.
