Rabies was never abolished in the US... this is status quo not a new disease. "Don't touch bats" has always been good advice.

I wonder what effect that will have on the Angels' season.

I ran into this guy who was depressed over the loss of his hair. And he found this ad for ten-dollar hairpieces.
So, I said, "That's a small-priced toupee!"

The only bats to worry about are the common vampire bats. Thankfully for most of the USA territory, these cute bloodsuckers live only in Zone 10 climate area.

Doesn't work so well for cricketeers and baseball players.

Bats in Texas test positive for rabies regularly. I’m in zone 8b. Skunks and foxes get it, too. There was a steer at the San Antonio rodeo that tested positive this year.

In case you need another reason to avoid watching the WNBA, besides the lousy basketball, the league has adopted an initiative for the players to walk off the floor when the national anthem starts to play.

It's on YouTube and I can't post the link, but it's worth a search, if only for the fiddle-trumpet and reverse trombone.
